I was lucky enough to catch them live in Atlanta in 2019, they sounded amazing even in some small little theater where they were playing a condensed set as part of some 2 day event, the name of the event escapes me though. Absolutely killed it, and if I ever get to Japan I'm timing it so I can see them live there too. Their albums are truly an experience, too.
Fun fact: Syu (guitar) was a former Violinist in his first years of life (there are couple of pictures of him playing as a young kid, like 4 years old.)I really enjoy those reacts as a big fan.

I guess that if you have some level of handling of your bandmate's instrument, you can get a better feel for their challenges abd it must help with composing too. Btw I wouldn't be surprised if Galneryus vocalist knew some guitar and/or piano.
When I lived in Japan I actually got to see Galneryus live 2 times, and the second time I actually got to go backstage and meet SYU because before the show in Shibuya, I went to a guitar shop and the employee knew SYU personally and gave him a phone call.
This song is like 70% based on Tchaikovsky's Concerto for Violin in D major... Intro, Chorus, Solos... It's amazing how they made a perfect mix of metal and classical music!! Actually is not that uncommon, you can see bands like Angra and Symphony X doing that a lot

I recommend you to SILENT REVELATION-the Studio version or The 2007 live. They Created 5 albums and a few EPs with The older singer and 9 albums with some EPs with The Current singer (SHO). Also SHO the singer is now 56. He was 46 or 47 around this live. It's Crazy

Taught College drumline for 4 years, was a high school marching band director for 11 years and am now the musical director for the Seahawks Drumline. Been with the NFL Drumline 13 seasons. Please listen to the video, Destiny, by the same band. They are considered one of the very best metal/power metal bands in Japan. All of their tracks are good. Honestly just listening through their albums is one of my favorite things to do.

And in his first band at early age, he played drums. Only then he switched to guitar. I can assume Syu can play almost any basic instrument.

it's still modern compare to DT and some mainstream Power Metal band in the late 90's.
They don't play this song live often I happened to be at their live in early 2020 and they played this live! What an epic experience!!!
And I have been to their live 3 more times since. They are still touring but only in Japan currently for their 20th Anniversary!
