    Hi! Just discovered your channel, as i’m looking into naturopathy more and considering it as my career path. I have a couple questions: is naturopathic medical school the same course work/load as traditional medical school? do you learn emergency & medical intervention such as CPR, stitching, physical examinations for diagnosing, and any first aid measures (like stopping a bleed, stroke and MI protocol) for just educational purposes, as ND will not work in emergency medicine or what not. Also, can an ND practice in multiple different countries.. like if i get my ND in the US, can I move and work in europe? (or is the process doable/realistic?). Thanks in advance!!

      Hi! That's so exciting to hear! I went to school at CCNM (Ontario, Canada) so I can only speak for my experience there. Programs can vary from school to school.
      There are courses in naturopathic schools that are similar to traditional medical schools - such as anatomy, pathology, and pharmacology. I can't speak for the specifics or workload since I've only been to naturopathic school.
      Yes, we learned emergency medicine, CPR, physical exams and first aid.
      Licensing depends on the state/province etc. Not every state is regulated. You will need to apply for licensing with whichever state you want to practice in. If you move somewhere else you will need to look into what requirements they have there for licensing.
      Hope that helps!!

    Would you say that going through naturopathic medical school would give you the knowledge to create your own supplements (for personal or commercial use)? Also keep up the vlogs !

    • @doctor.morelli
      @doctor.morelli  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I would say that it gives a good foundation for knowledge of supplements and herbs. But much more would go into creating a supplement including the appropriate ingredients, formula, marketing, etc. And that information we do not learn in school.

    Hey! I’m new to your channel I’ve been thinking of attending school to become a Naturopathic doctor but I’m not sure it’s worth it will the school cover everything one needs to know to start my own practice?

    • @doctor.morelli
      @doctor.morelli  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey! 😊 Naturopathic school gives you a good foundation, knowledge and clinical skills. You’ll get to apply everything you learn during your internship and have supervisors to learn from. But there’s still much more to learn outside of school. I found that attending talks is helpful to learn things we weren’t taught in school. And also having an experienced ND to ask questions (sort of a mentor) is really helpful! Hope that helps!

    Hi! How can a Indian naturopathic doctor work in Canada? What is the process to acquire a license?

    • @doctor.morelli
      @doctor.morelli  ปีที่แล้ว

      To practice as a naturopathic doctor in Canada you need to graduate from an accredited college, complete licensing exams and apply for a provincial license. CCNM (the naturopathic college in Canada) has a shortened program for international medical graduates. It would be best for you to reach out to the college to get more information. ccnm.edu/future-students/international-medical-graduates

      @@doctor.morellithanks..& how much do naturopathic doctors earn in Canada on an average?

    • @doctor.morelli
      @doctor.morelli  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jiljung160 It varies from person to person - some people work full time clinical, some part time, and then others work in different positions such as research, teaching, supplement companies etc. So I cannot give an average, it really depends.
