Love all these great filler packs. And I also think it is great that you pointed out just loose items in a box work as well. I have done that often in years past!
I’m so happy to send fillers. It brings me joy to shop for them and make sets. May the Lord use them for His glory-that the children and their families and villages receive Jesus as Lord!
Some great filler items! I’m glad to see blankets! My son, who retired from the army, says blankets are a much needed item for children! I’m actually including some very thick and fluffy Lego blankets in a few shoeboxes with Lego sets. The blankets were so thick and fluffy, though, I had to vacuum seal them to fit in the boxes and still allow for school supplies and fun things! I’m planning on purchasing some less bulky blankets to add to other boxes, though. As we did last year, I also plan to send anything left over for filler items. No sense in storing what can be a blessing to another child!
Exactly. Don’t wait. Please everyone use your leftover items for fillers! Luke 21:28 And when you see these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because our redemption draws near!
I am sending 200 boxes that my daughter and I packed this year as well as a lot of filler to help out. I know the need will be great and God guided me to the deals and I was able to purchase extras.
Nancy, that gives me goosebumps! The Lord is raising up people like you and your daughter to spread the Gospel beyond what we can hope or imagine this year! Praise the Lord! 🙌🙌🙌
I'm so excited about fillers this year! I have some chunky style spiral notebooks with plain pages. They have colorful felt covers and are very sturdy and do fit in a box. I have dozens, bought for pennies at a yard sale in which the seller had gotten a pallet of school supplies. I have hesitated to use these notebooks in my own boxes because they're kind of thick and chunky with a big bulky spiral, and I felt that they took up too much room. I've been sitting on them for two years now wondering what to do with them. Now I've learned about fillers, so the notebooks will finally serve a purpose! I'm just debating whether to send them as is or to bundle them with a few pencils and sharpener. What you said about next year not being guaranteed has encouraged me not to hold back items waiting for the perfect scenario, but just to send them on!
Shawna, what a blessing you are able to send the chunky notebooks! Praise the Lord. Yes, I do think sending some basic pencils and sharpeners is wise. Many shoeboxes don’t have school supplies. Thank you for telling me. To God be the glory for providing such wonderful items for fillers! 🙌🙌🙌
Charlotte, I’m thrilled you are going to work at the processing center! May God bless all the PC workers and provide enough filler items to fill all the shoeboxes! Which center will you be working at?
I have a real burden for fillers this year. With so many things more expensive I fear processing centers are going to see even more partial filled boxes. ANd, if by some miracle they receive WAY more filler than they need, they can always use the filler to make more boxes at the OCC level (I'd be upset to hear my distribution church was using them this way. But if the processing center was so oversupplied they did not need all the filler sent, that would be a HUGE blessing)
Sarah, I am also burdened to make lots more fillers. I agree with all you said in your comment. I hope others feel the same burden to increase their giving knowing the state of things. ❤️
All fillers should be sent to the P.C.'s. Church collection sites are not allowed to use them. This happened a few years ago and was addressed by Samaritan's Purse but to make sure when I drop off filler boxes I remind the volunteers that those boxes are not to be opened until they reach the processing centers.
I’m also sending some fillers this year! I probably don’t have enough to make sets but I can send some things like your first bin! 😊 Do I have to drop off boxes at a collection area? I’m volunteering this year at the processing center, so just wondering why I couldn’t just bring my boxes straight there myself along with my fillers? 🤷🏼♀️
Yes you can take shoeboxes and fillers to the processing center when you volunteer. I’ve done that before. I pulled up front and unloaded onto a cart after asking inside what would be best. Thank you for volunteering and for making shoeboxes and fillers! ❤️🥰

Thank you for the idea for fillers. Those items will be Blessings to many shoebox recipients.😊

Those are such a blessing. I'm looking forward to helping at a Processing Centre this year. I love the blankies.

Hello OCC people. found some 6 in 1 screwdrivers at Ollie’s today for 1.59. Thought I would share in case you have an Ollie’s in your area.
Thank you KH. I do have an Ollie’s not too far away. 👍
