    I’ve been watching your videos for the past 2 weeks. In the last 4 days, I have opened my Etsy shop, created 100+ designs, and I’ve been able to upload 24 of them as products while learning to research and understand SEO and keyword selection. I can’t wait to get the rest uploaded as products and start making more designs!
    Thank you for sharing your experience and inspiration!!

      Something to be aware of: I have followed Alek's guidance and opened my store late Aug. I have now 900 listings and counting. I did not know Etsy has a policy as of 2024 where they hold all the funds from new sellers for 14-20 days per order. Which means out of 26 sales I have only been paid $17 and had to over hundreds of dollars in costs to pay Printify. The sales of mine that have released the funds after the 14 day period went to listing and offsite ad fees. I was on with Etsy support last night and their math doesn't make total sense to me, but there's nothing I can do but keep having to pay until they decide I'm trustworthy.
      The guy told me there is no set time on this period of delayed payments although it used to be 0-180 days. So even though I have a shop balance of $240, I don't get any of it available for deposit. Again, I don't understand his math, but he said once my shop balance is $356 I will start getting some deposits. I have other, older stores and did not have this issue. What doesn't make sense is the fees should be deducting from my shop balance immediately and shouldn't have anything to do with the 14 day period.
      I am seeing sellers on Reddit complain that Etsy owes them thousands of dollars even into their 5th to 6th month of business and they are having to close up shop. It's really scary.
      This is entirely separate from their "reserve" system they also impose on new sellers which holds 30% of your earnings as well. So just a heads up, unless you have literally hundreds of dollars + around to pay your production and shipping costs, you could be in deep trouble like I am. I started this to get OUT of poverty and now I'm having to skip buying FOOD so that I can cover my orders. It doesn't make sense to put my ornament store on vacation when it's the holiday season and sales are picking up, especially because I'm selling ornaments.
      Also be aware if you are in the US you may only want to sell to US and Canada. Etsy will collect VAT for European orders, but they don't give you that money, then you have to pay Printify the VAT. Plus the shipping estimates have been off so that took even more of my money. I shut off shipping to outside US and Can immediately after that.

    You are the avatar (perfect customer for your product). Great way to think about it instead of "research," even though it's exactly the same. Most people prefer "shopping" over "research."

    Very helpful! Putting yourself in the customer’s shoes and tracking successful shops are great strategies I hadn’t thought of. The design system and automation tips are also practical for anyone wanting to expand their shop without feeling overwhelmed. Thank you for sharing in such detail!

    Hey Alek thanks so much, im 3 weeks in and have 100 listings and 30 sales. Ive learned so much im about to take off like a rocket ship. Thank you for the photoshop script its amazing. Your original uploaded works awesome, but prelist was giving issues and putting the images half way upon the printify template. I love prelist allows us to add templates via url. I was using a new shop with the old uploader and storing my templates there and copying them to my main store. Prelist will be amazing once the uploader bugs are worked out.

    Hello Alek, i have a question, does posting like 4 listings per day can affect my conversion rate and then leads to less sales ? I started posting more listings but what i have noticed for a period of time that my sales decreased. How can i fix that ? Thank you for your videos 🌸

    Hey Alek, love your videos and found them super helpful in setting up my shop. I've gotten round to figuring out Prelist. However, I bulk edit tags and then the prelist fails and doesn't change the tags. Why would this be? Thanks!

      @@alekSheffythanks. The script is running. I do only text designs on shirts but the script is too small on the mockup. I do not know how to make it bigger.

      Create a template that is the same dimensions of your print area and design the imafe there then they will fit perfectly.

    • @26agica
      @26agica หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@roadrunner197069 thank you for answering! Do you mean template - design on Canva? Should I make my designs bigger so when I run the script they come right on the shirt? I was thinking you can adjust in the pgm so I do not have to resize all my design files

    hello Alek, I tried Prelist and when I want to use Printify template it does not allowed me, I contacted Printify support, they wrote to me that Prelist is not integrated with PRINTIFY, so now I do not understand how to do what you show in the video. I could add listing with prelist to Etsy but the Printify uploader does not work, could you tell me what to do? where are my templates on Prinitify?

    • @alekSheffy
      @alekSheffy  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi, Printify isn't going to have support for Prelist, you'll need to contact Prelist support. You can join my discord to talk with the team if you'd like also.
