I'm not a woodworker, but it seems you are correct.... Any woodworking channel is doomed to failure unless you have a cutting board build! I noticed that I am subscriber number 120, despite there being over 4,000 views to this video! What's wrong with people?? How hard is it to hit the subscribe button when you are watching somebody put an enourmous amount of effort into producing a piece of art? Stick with it, sir! You will get to your silver button soon, I am certain of it!!
I subscribed. I appreciate the video. I’ve been woodworking for 35 years and people always say I should have a channel. I say it would take all the enjoyment out of woodworking. The set ups, the do overs and editing is more than I’m willing to do. Also nice to see a woodworker who’s not obediently using a SawStop and all Festool tools. Seems like you still possess all of your original digits.👍 After having to go to urgent care last week to have a piece of steel removed from my eye I suggest that you wear eye protection. I now won’t even fire up any tools without safety glasses.
Good video. You have an awesome shop, and well equipped! Being a small woodworking channel myself, I feel that people just have no idea what goes into making a video while trying to get a project done. It at least doubles and sometimes triples the time. Keep at it! I myself refuse to give up.

You were supposed to show how the planer chipped off the ends. Its why you put sacrificial ends on. I wanted to see how much chipped out using a helical head.
Sorry about that! I'm new to making videos and this particular video was over the course of numerous days and it's tough when editing to get it all in there without an hour long video. I will be making a more in depth video soon!
What was the sidewalk chalk that you used purpose? What is the principle behind the process? Some of us, including myself are dummies! Rubber feet with metal inside thingymajigs, what is a more accurate description to order on line perhaps?
The sidewalk chalk is simply to see if I need to run more passes through the sander. As the chalk disappears, I know that area was "hit". once all the chalk is gone, It is perfectly flat. If you google "Rubber cutting board feet with stainless screw and washer" they will come right up! Thanks for watching!
You can obviously run it either way. I prefer to have the cup up, because, if the cup is down the leading edge tends to fall into the blade since it is riding on it's point, if that makes sense. Just can be a little more dangerous! Good question!
Good Question! LOL! It's a 37" sander so it's sucking a ton of air. I usually have two other wastegates open at all times so it's having a hard time keeping up. Need a bigger cyclone!

your table sander doesn't seem to suck much of the dust up. are your filters blocked..
I had too many waste gates open. It was sucking the fine dust, just not the heavier. I was being lazy!

When using a jointer with a bow, is there a reason for flattening the top of the bow instead of flattening the cup ?
