I am more pleased to see this video than almost any other VDO-centric video this year. For, despite his win percentage, VDO had not been maximizing his Colossus character. Because he had not been utilizing the character's primary defining distinction: armor. This is a game where, at higher levels, most damage is suffered when an opponent launches you into the air and proceeds to perform lengthy air combos. When you have a defensive option that literally grounds you and PREVENTS that from occurring, why would you not take advantage of it? Watching the defensive game of VDO's Colossus till now, with the likes of ThaRimRattler and even LuisMarvel running around, has felt comparable to seeing Kung Fu Man in a TH-cam Mugen video, or someone playing the old 3-button, 6-player X-Men arcade game with the "X-ability" button disabled. Happily, I cannot make that complaint concerning this video.
