okay i work at starbucks so i have comments on brewster's fav coffee temp. the lattes are always steamed to ~145 F and sOME CUSTOMERS ask for it at 185 and we literally have to jiggle the steam wand around to convince the machine to steam the milk that high. a regular always asks for a chai for it "extra hot" (150) , she gave it back to me bc it wasn't hot enough, so I steamed it to 185. and i watched her take a sip and go "m could be hotter but i'll take it"
My mom is some customers LOL, when she asks me to make her tea or coffee, I have to make it almost boiling in order for her to be satisfied with the temp. I can't even hold the cup cause it's so hot...I am 100% convinced she had somehow damaged her tastebuds/mouth's temp sensitivity which is why she drinks it that hot...she also hates cold food so we never eat sandwiches, sushi, or salads when we eat out haha

I have a question, Has your parents ever rushed you to graduate University? Because mine keeps rushing me and I can’t handle it right now because I’m doing a Science major and it’s been so challenging and they are not helping with their questions…
Idk why this comment really spoke to me but I graduated forever ago (like 2016 haha) and I completed my degree in 3 years instead of 4...and I regret it a lot lol...I wish I had stayed the extra year and completed a minor or something to extend my time cause 1) I ended up not going to my graduation ceremony cause I knew literally no one since all my friends were in the next year 2) I missed out on a lot of college experiences/senior year experiences like class trips and department activities 3) I really could have benefitted from living by myself another year and getting some irl experience. Plus side is that I did save a lot of money which I ended up using to complete my Masters this year but I can't help but think of the what ifs...I just want to say that in the grand scheme of things 1 year here and there really doesn't matter (and neither do grades or what college u went to for that matter) as long as you have the will to pursue what you want to do.
Also, I have friends who took gap years, or took 5 years to graduate instead of 4 and they're doing great! I've worked with people who went to better and worse universities than mine, with much better (and worse) grades than mine, and we all were working the same job and title so make of that what u will :) I am a data analyst btw, working to become a data scientist down the line
