Man I remember L.A Sanitation used to run some just like these all the way up to 2005. They sounded almost identical too, with the exception of that throaty purr at idle. Never heard that sound before but I love it because it makes an already badass truck even more interesting. She also retains her original air brakes from what I can tell as they produce a distinct squeal only heard in 310's. Loved that roar during manual packing. Also digging the looks of the tapered rear wheel covers, that is a design that is unique to pre 1995 Amrep bodies.
