    Hello
    Love your channel.
    I run a gardening business in the North East of England. Looking to expand my services, especially for autumn and winter work.
    Do you think there is a market for gutter cleaning only, without offering other services, such as facia cleaning etc.
    Many thanks.
    Rob.👍🏻

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I find that gutter cleaning can be quite seasonal. But if you already have regular gardening customers I’m sure they would be pleased if you also offer gutter cleaning, and that will get you off to a good start.😉👍🏼

    Hi mate, what would you recommend for starting out? Would it be the SkyVac Atom. It looks a bit weak to me. Or the Professional which is about £2.5K? Its a bit too expensive if you ask me. Is the camera worth it? That's pricey as well. Many thanks for your advice.

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Atom is a great place to start, but it’s like anything else, if you have more power you will get through the tough jobs more quickly. The big industrial is a solid bit of professional equipment that will last you, but it depends how much gutter cleaning you actually plan on doing I suppose. There is also a machine in between if that suits your budget better.😃👍🏼

    Ashley do you not use a camera all the time? I couldn’t see it on the pole most of the time? How can you be sure the gutters are cleared?

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can tell when there is no debris going down the poles any more that the gutter is clear. Then it’s easier to have the camera on a second pole if you just want to check to make sure you got everything.😃👍🏼

    Great Video mate. I am soon to invest in either in the Atom or Ind 85. What is you honest opinion regarding the two other than the difference in cost of course?. Ive watch the Atom in action on you tube and it seems gutless. Id rather spend more money and get a better machine that would perhaps save me time on the job. Cheers

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Atom always seems to surprise me with what it can accomplish but yeah, if you are serious about doing a lot of gutter cleaning, the industrial will cut through it more quickly and handle those tough blockages more easily for sure.😃👍🏼

    Hi ash, hope your doing well mate. Been watching your vids for a while now and just in the process myself of setting something up doing exterior cleaning. Quick question, do you have the Lower or Higher tier waste carrier licence? And, where do you dispose of all the job rubbish? Particularly interested to know where you get rid of moss from a roof clean as that’s probably the most you’ll have to deal with? Thanks for your help in advance, keep up the great vids pal - been a massive help to me in all aspects! 👍🏻😃

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for your comments. I normally dispose of the waste I collect in the customers garden waste bin, or on their compost heap, or in a flower bed, or under a bush, as long as I have checked with them first. So I don’t carry any waste with me.😃👍🏼

    • @bogsnobbler
      @bogsnobbler 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I bought one here in Oz and I use it regularly, if you angle the end nozzle right you can go under the clip, then jump it and come under the other side. Fascia guttering is the worst because its often closer to the roof tiles or sheeting, but there's a narrower end nozzle that comes with the kit.

      Rory Quin thanks Rory! Good to know. I’ve got an established gutter cleaning business but can’t quite afford the petrol powered Endurovacs. do you find it does an alright job with Aussie debris and mud? I live in tassie and everything is always wet and sludge. Not fun scooping out by hand

    • @bogsnobbler
      @bogsnobbler 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@fewfriesshort5593 I'm newish to gutter cleaning, up in northern Vic, so I find that each job is harder or worse than the last one. I'm out in the country so some jobs are 10 years worth of buildup, a mixture of plants and leaves in 2 inches of topsoil. I bought the gutter vac to increase efficiency but I am still getting on rooves and ladders for most of it. When you've got a 2 foot long chunk of lawn and weeds stuck in a corner, the vac may or may not get it out. It's more for 2 Storey houses in town where the 2nd storey isn't accessible or the pitch is too steep from the first. It comes in handy but it's no magic wand.

    • @fewfriesshort5593
      @fewfriesshort5593 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rory Quin thanks mate. Thats exactly the comment I’m after. It’s realistic. I hoped in investing in one for those steep roofs or hard to reach gutters full of water. I’m harnessed up at all times but still it’s not nice feeling uncomfortable on a steep roof. A friend down here that has been gutter cleaning for 10 years uses a truck mounted vacuum, I’d love one but 16,000 is no small sum lol. Maybe over time I could save up. All the best with your work though!
