As a Giants fan I am very happy with how this draft turned out. It still stings a little bit that we didn’t get a WR in the first round, but getting a guy like Deonte Banks really helps fill a hole we have in defense. We ended up getting a great WR in the 3rd round with Jalin Hyatt. As well as the best center in the 2nd round with John Michael Schmitz. This is what happens when you have a GM that is competent, and isn’t trying to reach on guys instead of taking BPA. It’s so relieving!
@@TheMattTrakker IT's not the talent, it's the coaching and that seemed to finally become competent the final half of last season. But this will be his last chance.
TCU ended up with eight draft pics, only exceeded by Alabama (10), Georgia (10) and Michigan (9). That was a generational roster that took them to the national title game and it speaks volumes about the job Sonny Dykes did. I don't know if you'll see that again, but that was a sweet capper to an otherwise overachieving season.
As a Pats fan I loved our draft (for the most part). It was very clearly a punt on this season and accepting that we're 4th best in the division so that come next year whether it be Mac, Zappe, or a 2024 rookie, the 2024 patriots will be ready to rumble
4 weeks and it already looks like the lions, despite everyone thinking it was a horrible draft, produced nesrly 4 starting players. YOU CAN NEVER PREDICT THE DRAFT, BABY!
Those two Texans picks are working out great so far. The team’s going through some growing pains but they are way more fun to watch than they’ve been in years past.
People just casually forgetting the Packers rarely draft WR’s in the first round. Like Davante Adams was a second round pick, Jordy Nelson second round, Randall Cobb second round, Christian Watson from last year second round, Jayden Reed from this year’s draft also from the second round
Don't forget Greg Jennings. Plus James Jones was a third round pick, same with Jermichael Finley. The Packers have thrived on Day 2 with receivers and tight ends since the Ron Wolf era. Pass rush was also a massive, massive need and LVN will help shore that up immediately.
@6Snaus I honestly think we wouldn't hear all the whining if they still had the second round on day one. Give a negative, doom-sayer fan 24 hours and an internet connection, though, and it's over. 😆
@@6Snaus But not in the current GM's tenue. Gute has been abysmal drating offense and if not for Watson last year, he would be a complete bust at it. Watson was the first WR taken in the 2nd round in 9 years. @@chriskay1449 Gute has been in the front office and scouting department since the 1990s. He's definitely been a part of the decision making process for a long time, even if he wasn't the one making the final decision.
Van Ness was a great pick. Outside of JSN there weren't any real superstar level receivers and even he is borderline at that level. I get that it's low hanging fruit to go after GB for not drafting receivers in the first round but they drafted 6 skill position guys this year to build with Love, Watson, Doubs, Jones, and Dillon. This was easily a home run draft for the Packers, as good if not better than your beloved Steelers.
I guess but Young didn't really get put in the best situation as the team around him is pretty shit not having WR1 sucks also. Also there last game was better
Not just that, all the UDFA’s we picked up. Ivan Pace Jr and Andre Carter II? Brian Flores is building a battering ram to destroy what’s in front of us.
Benefit of hindsight, the Titans DID end up with DeAndre Hopkins, AND they did not have to sacrifice an arm and a leg to get him. He signed as a free agent. and on a very team-friendly deal.

I’ve been waiting for this video more than the draft itself 😈
already cant wait for the revisit LMAO
Thanks for the content Tree. I love all of the clickbaiters but you're the one who meets my sense of humor perfectly. Keep it up. I know I'm gonna keep watching
I hope we see a “Congraturations, Bruins!” video tonight or tomorrow. America can sleep tonight in peace
As a packers fan I'm pretty happy with the draft. They say Defence wins championships and they're really stacking talent on there
Yeah, but it's not working. Their defense isn't good and how many picks have they used on it?
@@TheMattTrakkerit’s not the players, it’s the coordinator
@@TheMattTrakker IT's not the talent, it's the coaching and that seemed to finally become competent the final half of last season. But this will be his last chance.
Good doggy.
I say well roundedness wins championships, but that’s just me
TCU ended up with eight draft pics, only exceeded by Alabama (10), Georgia (10) and Michigan (9). That was a generational roster that took them to the national title game and it speaks volumes about the job Sonny Dykes did. I don't know if you'll see that again, but that was a sweet capper to an otherwise overachieving season.
Reminds me of Cincinnati from a year back
As a Jayhawks fan, we got our ASSES kicked by their bloodthirsty defense… and they injured our starting qb for rest of season.
As a Pats fan I loved our draft (for the most part). It was very clearly a punt on this season and accepting that we're 4th best in the division so that come next year whether it be Mac, Zappe, or a 2024 rookie, the 2024 patriots will be ready to rumble
Don't forget that Chicago got a haul of picks because they originally won the Tank Bowl, and also their franchise WR in DJ Moore
I’m going to have that Will McDonald jingle stuck in my head all week, damnit.
That's great but we all cannot wait for the choke review of the Boston Bruins. YOU BLEW IT! 😂
1 year in and this QB and draft class in general is looking really good.
Thanks for spoiling us with quality content Tree!😄
4 weeks and it already looks like the lions, despite everyone thinking it was a horrible draft, produced nesrly 4 starting players.
YOU CAN NEVER PREDICT THE DRAFT, BABY!
I think the Lions knew what they were doing.
The best 48 hours of my life, as a Leafs fan.
“As I say this they’ll probably have the best draft cuz that’s how this works…” yah tree… I’d say it did work like that for the lions
Those two Texans picks are working out great so far. The team’s going through some growing pains but they are way more fun to watch than they’ve been in years past.
One of my favourite videos of the year every year🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
And Bryce Young is now benched after week 2 in the 2024 season
20:02 “28-3. Good one. We’ve heard that before.” 😂😂😂
I feel the need to come back here and point out how well drafting Gibbs has worked out
welp, Gibbs turned out to be a good draft pick!
Damn Tree we need that Bruins vid RN!!!
12:28 *one year later* "yup, i think its pretty safe to say Detroit killed it in the draft"
People just casually forgetting the Packers rarely draft WR’s in the first round. Like Davante Adams was a second round pick, Jordy Nelson second round, Randall Cobb second round, Christian Watson from last year second round, Jayden Reed from this year’s draft also from the second round
It's pretty much an annual tradition around here now. Day 2 for the Pack should silence at least some of the haters.
YOu can't say the Packers have thrived on Day 2 with receivers when this GM only picked his first last season, 4 years into his tenure and 9 years since the previous 2nd rounder.
@@chriskay1449 Gute has been in the front office and scouting department since the 1990s. He's definitely been a part of the decision making process for a long time, even if he wasn't the one making the final decision.
Dam man..... Like I have always said this is the way sports should be should be commented on. Another fine job sir
And now CJ Stroud looks to be the best quarterback while Young looks to be a bust so far
I guess but Young didn't really get put in the best situation as the team around him is pretty shit not having WR1 sucks also. Also there last game was better
I’m pleasantly surprised at the Vikings draft. Can’t wait to see JJ and Addison on the field.
Not just that, all the UDFA’s we picked up. Ivan Pace Jr and Andre Carter II? Brian Flores is building a battering ram to destroy what’s in front of us.
WOOOO the yearly episode we all wait for
I had a few literal "laugh out loud" moments, starting with "fool's gold of Cleveland" watching this!! Thank you!!😂
Oh Tree got this video out FAST. Excited to sit back and watch 🤩
“The FaLcOnS OfFenSe iS StaCkEd” like Kyle Pitts doesn’t average 2 catches a game😂😂😂😂
Hopefully Ridder will throw the ball more (and more accurately) than Mariota
Funny watching this with the Lions running Sonic and Knuckles now
@UrinatingTree we need a video on leafs making it and the bruins becoming the biggest chokers in NHL history tonight , please?!?!?
Geez that was fast, 24 hours from the draft ending; props to you
CANT WAIT FOR THE “CONGRATS BRUINS”
Bears fan here, wanted an Edge Rusher, but getting the best Tackle in the SEC to protect Fields is a great pick, too.
Brod Jones is better
I was happy with the Browns and Bengals picks. I think they got good ones especially CLE. Berry worked with what he had and got what we needed.
The most underrated thing about Tree's vids?
The Command & Conquer Red Alert soundtrack in the background.
Go Panthers and Bryce Young baby.
think that Stroud pick worked out pretty good
Benefit of hindsight, the Titans DID end up with DeAndre Hopkins, AND they did not have to sacrifice an arm and a leg to get him. He signed as a free agent. and on a very team-friendly deal.
Waiting for the “congrats bruins” video
Don’t forget the Steelers also got Darnell Washington who is essentially a 6th O-lineman on the field in the 3rd round 9:53
1:47 real happy for the #STROUDBOYS
I dont know why i laughed at Will McDonald is a JET J-E-T-S JETS
From the future to let you guys know the Lions did end up having one of the best draft classes
Damn that was quick. I appreciate you Tree!! Thank you for the quick upload💪🏽💪🏽
Gibbs, Campbell, Branch and Laporta
“Will McDonald is a jet, J E T S Jets” 😂 The song was hilarious!! Keep it up Tree!!
Missed the mark a little on Richardson. Hopefully he comes back soon
been waiting all year for this one
