Thats not really telling anything, you can time +20 And more mythic dungeon while watching TH-cam, And i would say im like average player. I Always watch TH-cam when playing
As a mage player i would argue all 3 mage specs are in "hard" now 1)Arcane big and small bursts really easy after you get use to it, actual hardness comes with mana managment and how you deal with it between bursts, also tier set a bit cluncy in AOE. 2) Fire mage easier to understand but its only at first, you think you know what to do but you will do 20%-40% less damage than top fire mages because you literally need manage all your GCD in "small" combusts, if your combustion uptime less than 50% you can forget about doing good damage, i would say fire mage have rotation but you need to do a lot of decisions at hight speed while performing. Also needing of mousover macros usage for AOE is extra difficult to me 3)Frost mage really not so easy as before, now you need manage "winter chill" stacks, almost every your big spell should hit inder this debuff, also because flurry hits 3 times and debuff stacks only up to two, you always need precast something and hit right after first flurry hit, so frost ends up not with rotation but with priority list with large number of variables. Now add to all this specs that your surviveabillity is active and not passive to live you need press shield and other defencives constantly or you die first out of group, when warlock for example just have large amount of hp which is passive surviveabillty
I only play fire and even though I "know" the rotation, I just can't play at its best and my dps just sucks. Maybe cause im doing smalls keys but my damage is like really bad
Big difference between arcane dps on a dummy and arcane dps on a 28 EB where surviving is difficult/takes globals and losing surge/magi is catastrophic to your damage. Not to mention you can’t hold CDs because you won’t have mana.
@tsj8726 So which one would you recommend a beginner for mage? I’ve been pondering the possibility for a new alt as I see they do OP damage and ports etc. they look like a lot of fun although there intimidating as I play mostly melee my main is unholy which is not even close to meta but I still enjoy it😁
Elementals entire currently clunkiness is due to needing Flame shock on targets and still having a CD on FS. Shaman is the only class that I can think of that still has a dot that has a CD. I feel like removing the CD would make the current playstyle and overall spec feel much better. Totem helps, but the 1 min CD and no real spreading mechanic outside of it makes the initial pull ramp feel off when you need to get out lost of flame shocks.
Nice and fun video. I reckon you have not mentioned two things about Aff aoe rotation: first, agony duration is shorter than Vile Taint CD, which makes you stop your aoe rotation in order to refresh agonies one by one. That is mandatory because you get resources from your agony dots. The second thing to consider is the player skill and experience to assess whether to use SoC or MR, which, in my opinion, is not straightforward.
i generally agree with this list except shadow priest. I feel like it should be at hard tier just because of how annoying shadow crash can be and how bad it can be if you miss it in m+ big packs kek
I love your videos my guy, they are thorough and fun to watch. I love tier lists, unlike most people, but to add: when I play, I just push buttons when they are off cooldown or proc. I couldn't care less about rotations. I am pretty sure I am close to being average, but my damage is always decent or competitive. Could it be better? Sure, if I cared. I play the game for fun and to complete content at a casual pace. I am old now and what makes MMOs fun is NOT reading spread sheets of numbers to get maybe 10% more DPS, so all in all, the easiest class for me is the one with the least amount of buttons or the one I can macro 3-6 abilities into one button, so it's more chill. Now if people want to complain and say "Oh you are bringing the group down", ok?, I am really okay with that and I more than likely agree, so I just leave the group and move on and you can get someone else. I am okay with that. Win/win
Completely agree. People like u are much more fun to play with since we just want to have a good time instead of blaming people constantly for not min maxing. That’s why I refuse to do very sweaty high level content
Question about BM Hunter I've never been able to find a definitive answer to...am I actively controlling my pet's movement? Am I needing to move them around to avoid boss attacks or to move them to new targets even if I haven't switched yet? I saw an old Preach video where he was saying that's the difference between great BM Hunters and the sort you mainly encounter in the game. Thanks!
I miss Marcelian. I really like Flame but without Marcelian something is missing :( The two complement each other very well and simply belong in front of the camera as a duo.
I realize this list is subjective, but I think Destro is noticeably easier than BM. Full movement is definitely a huge bonus for BM, but there is more complexity to the spec than you mentioned. Of course, most of that complexity is the difference between a 90% parse and a 95%. Destro, on the other hand, is just straightforward and simple. There is very little complexity to the rotation or cooldowns. The trade-off to being essentially an auto-pilot spec is long cast times. In the end, I think it depends on what you struggle with more. Personally, I find Destro to be easier, but I also watch timers and know when movement is going to be needed.
I'm happy there's still 20 buttons rotation, I don't like easy specs. Arcane mage and enh sham have been a blast this season. It's great that there's fun specs for both worlds currently!
As someone who mains mage for two seasons now and really spamming m+ and raids with it, I really think fire is actually harder than arcane. I mean imo there's that classic difference between skill floor and skill ceiling. Arcane is really hard to get to because the whole rotation lasts 90s, but it's actually very repetitive. Fire on the other hand, if you really want to execute properly, you need to know all the permutations and know how to react to them. Even with arcane being less mobile, I think a novice playing the game for e.g. 20 raids would perform better on arcane than fire.
I'm surprised you didn't rank boomkin as hard, you just put out a video talking about how bad you are at boomkin? not a "shots fired" thing, I'm honestly wondering.
affliction is at the least hard cause it suffer from movement punishment as arcane does especially on aoe when you spam seed(big cast time) , moving there destroys your dmg.
Hey there, in general i would say that Shadow Priest is easy to play. The main issue is getting decent gear to work well. But on the aspect of rotation and priority it is pretty easy to learn. Point about MD, shackle are thing that every class with such spells hits. But overall i agree with you. Greetings from Germany and from a mythic raider Shadow Priest and rio-pumper :)
@@carefae3589 I think it depends on how „deep“ into any content we go. For +20/21 Shadow is decent to play. When it comes to Pushing keys where survivability is a point, I will give you „1 Point“. On the other hand it is the same thing into raiding. But Shadow like Arcane? Naaah :)

Problem with balance is its the most backwards spec in game, play aoe to do single targer, play single target to do aoe. Always expect to be oneshotted by basicly eveything in the game, längst cooldowns in the game. Least formgivning cooldowns in the game with the fact that its the longest and you can get oneshitted by basicly everything in game. Lowest self heal in the game. Being tanky to survive anything to oneshot you means u loose 100% damage basicly. Zero burst, just ramp wich wich makes is the most worthless class in low keys becaus we do No damage and still get oneshotted 🤣 we do insane damage in high keys but yeah, oneshot oneshot oneshot. Im quite sure everyone at blizzard hates balance and Thats why we are the hateobject and punchingbag of blizzard that Always kick us down and keep kicking us when we are down and then spits in our face as they are kicking us when we are down. And ofc the playstyle is 100% dot management 100% movement management 100% resource management and 0 survivability and 100% upptime perfektion needed to get mehh, what other classes do by just saying hi to the adds
Aug is easy af in keys. Raids require a lot more to be good, add on's knowing what specs have the most burst during your ebon might/shifting sands buff. tracking when to use breath of eons for the most damage. its easy on the surface but much harder to be good at.
Just play low m+ (below 20s) and watch out which specs tend to perform poorly most of the time and you see which spec is easy and which are not. BM and Ret pretty much always perform good, while fire mage and spriest dmg ist awful almost every time. Somehow bad players seem to perform better on melee dps

its definitely not harder than any of those specs you listed, you can get a weak aura that tells you when to barbed shot optimally, a weak aura that shows your beast cleave so you can remember to keep it up. That's it brother that's the spec. its easy. Oh damn you gotta push kill command with beast cleave up and keep barbed shot rolling and dump it before bestial wrath where you get barbed shots back shit this is so fuckin hard
I would argue that the Ele it's avg. As the flames shock management it's hard in higher mythic, to pull off good dps and use your utility Kit, and not always struggling not to die because we have no defensives. At least to me feels like really hard to perform with it in higher keys.

Or "my spec is easy to learn but hard to máster!!"
I would say MM hunter is easier as devestation evoker 😊 but maybe i need to play ranges more often
