One of my all time favorite movie soundtracks. Such a romantic and out of the world feeling.
March 1997.....the month this movie came out on VHS....Have you ever walked into a movie not thinking it would be anything special, only to find your soul splintered into an infinite number of pieces because of how blown away you are with the sound track?
The Saint and this ending love song is that movie for me.... I was 27 years old when I watched this at home on VHS back in 97'....Whenever I listen to this particular track, my wounded twenty something soul gets healed more and more...thank you Graeme Revell for creating such a masterpiece...a million thank yous...
This score captures the soul. I saw this movie 23 years ago and I still remember how well acted this movie was, the chemistry between Val Kilmer and Elisabeth Shue was amongst the best I have seen on screen and this soundtrack just wraps up the whole experience perfectly. Brilliant!
I purchased this movie and for 100.00 dollars the movie billboard, copy of course, but what a great memory. To be a Saint, you have to perform 3 miracles, You have to be a very good, and usually very dead person to become a saint. And more importantly, you need to work three miracles. Now, get to work.

This music was and always has been one of my favorite instrumental melodies, It brings me to tears of sadness and happiness when I listen to it, as it reminds me of my late wife Barbara, as I met her in the same fashion as in the Movie and was mysteriously captured by her smile, like no other woman ever had. she was a former runway model to Betsey Johnson. May Barbara rest in peace and may this melody last a lifetime.

Not many know this but Val turned down his second Batman Invite to do this movie. Younger to see the documentary on Prime called Val. This song always elevates my emotions. Great stuff when you're manifesting. 🙏🙏🙏
Not many people know that he also has a restraining order against him from a certain Hollywood actress that he is obsessed with.

What a surreally beautiful, crisp morning. Sitting in a café in Paris, raining out, glancing up every so often trying to absorb the denseness of T.E. Lawrence's Seven Pillars of Wisdom, listening to this on repeat. Perfect.

I always watch this highly underrated film with utmost pleasure. Well acted, well photographed, well directed, masterfully composed score...I'm glad it begins to have a cult status, which it fully deserves. It was made in times (1996- 1997) when the West was brimming with confidence and optimism & for someone living on the fringes of the Free World, in Romania, so close to the Evil Empire, this movie conveys in me a feeling of menthal comfort the depths of which I cannot really express in words. Very good movie, indeed.

It really is an underrated movie. Val Kilmer gives a great performance. A shame it didn't have a sequel

And the USA is on a good track now, since November the 6th- on which it should remain, because if the USA falls, it will be as cataclysmic as the fall of the Roman Empire. Civilisation as we know it would cease to exist.

This whole soundtrack, but especially this track, it's arrangement with full orchestra, percussion, harp, synthesizers etc.... it unlocks some kind of cool, dreamlike, international intrigue...makes it very easy to fantasize that one was actually THE Emma J Russell from the movie.... on her way to meet her Saint!

Hey ya know, there's nothing wrong with that at all! =)If we lose our power to imagine and fantasize, there's really no greater loss. So having that ability and these kinds of moving "experiences", as I would like to call them, it makes for a very creative lifestyle.

Yes! I’m a middle-aged man who loved this movie upon its release and I still make sure to watch it at least a couple times per year, and this theme gives me frisson EVERY time. Like you all, it pulls at my heart strings and my imagination... it makes me wish for THAT energy that Emma and Simon had... it is the ultimate in love’s aspirations... when they meet back up in that sleepy Cotswoldian place... that amazing house... ❤️

Still an amazing movie and easily the most stirring track from any movie of the era for me. I still get chills from this piece. It just makes you want to find a romance that matches the feelings that come through in this track!

I’ve always loved this score. It reminds me a bit of John Barry’s theme for You Only Live Twice, which I’m sure was his inspiration.

I love this love theme it reminds me how Simon and Emma been through a lot traumatic experiences but, they finally fell in love. Simon met Emma he finally met his match. Mr Graeme Revell you are cool in my book. It teaches me how to overcome adversities in my life and solve problems.

I have to confess that for me is still the one of the best movies and best songs for a movie way ahead of its time in 1997; l saw it completely recently with no reservations and still brings this nice feeling. Since the movie From Russia with Love in 1963 and later Casino Royale on 2006 for me there is no other movie that can compare between those 43 years; only Daniel Craig superseded after with James Bond sequels like Skyfall shooting to almost dead the main actor on the first scene; and improved with the Rat story by Javier Bardem later.... Thank you for sharing the song

I love this score. Needed to go back to it after I heard 'You only live twice' (James Bond) which sounds very similar, prefer this one though.

Some of the best music I’ve ever heard. Back when movies meant something - I imagine this film was misunderstood at the time, but it’s only gotten better with age. Saw it for the first time about a year ago and was blown away.
This theme speaks about the great desire of Simon by Emma, that´s just perfect!

Val Kilmer acted in this movie coming from the success of Batman forever. I became a Val kilmer fan after his take on Batman . This movie was a fun movie and the theme was a probably under rated but an outstanding song
I still watch The Saint once in a while. I feel sorry for Val Kilmer now due to his recent health issues. He is truly an outstanding actor.

I love this movie about it all. I was in an adopted house like this, but worst and abused worst than that. I turned out to become a pathetic person that can never love again, but I love listening to the love theme song.

I loved this as a kid and as an adult, I dig that it's a little bit "You Only Live Twice" (terrible film, great theme song) and a little bit "Han Solo and the Princess" from Star Wars.
This makes me cry. Sometimes.
This movie inspired me to use another name, and stay mysterious for some time. As the real creator and founder of Bitcoin, this movie moved to me create a pseudonym: " Satoshi Nakamoto"... It inspired me to do research and create something new and different that would change the world.
I know! There's just something different about this soundtrack that you can't really find in too many other places. It's tranquil and yet motivating, and I often find myself returning to it from time to time as well for boosts of creativity =)

The opening notes and strings run, 24 seconds in, reminds me of the counterpoint strings in John Barry's "Midnight Cowboy" theme. A nod to the great man himself maybe?
