What? If green is a primary color then there is no need to make green. RGB starts with green as a primary color. The proper answer for subtractive colors is Cyan - Yellow = Green. Or choose a worse set of primary colors and use Yellow - Blue to get a subset of all green-ish colors.

They're more right than Garnt is. The three additive primary colors (light) are RGB (Red, Green, Blue); these are used for every graphics. The three subtractive colors (paint) are CMY (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow). RYB (Red, Yellow, Blue) is taught in school as 'primary colors' for several reasons: tradition, availability, easy to remember, etc. The red-blue colors are where this gamut really falls short as magenta is so far outside this range. We still don't have perfect cyan and magenta though; so, the largest gamut we can make [with the paints available] requires at least 4-5 colors. Cobalt Teal - Ultramarine Blue - Bismuth Yellow - Quinacridone Magenta - Pyrrole Orange has a very large gamut.

The reason the Welsh flag is not represented on the Union Jack is, because England conquered Wales and when the Union Jack was created they saw Wales as a part of England. Plus Wales had a different flag at the time. St. David’s cross is Wales’ original flag. It was not until later that Wales got the iconic flag they currently have.
Just to add a little more, the St George cross was officially adopted as the national flag of the kingdom of England & Wales, and done so under a Welsh dynasty - the Tudors. Well you say that, but with the physics model you can't truly replicate yellow as we see it. At least not artificially. Since the color of light is based on wavelength and we have specific cone cell receptors that see yellow, but not green. So the painting method is how we see light, replicating yellow with RGB is an optical illusion.
I’m Welsh and the best looking flag is the Welsh dragon 🏴. The story behind it is , the words dragon and dreic appeared in early Welsh texts from the 6th Century. Most common two triplets like that are Red, Green and Blue and Cyan, Magneta, Yellow. This doesn't make any of these colors special since you can absolutely make like Blue by mixing CMY in various ratios, or make Y by mixing RGB in a specific ratio. It's kinda like how Greenwich is no special place we just decided to place the 0th meridian there. It could have been any other place.

Theres so many stuff that goes with it like the legend of King Arthur and Merlin and so on, but yeah I'd recommend reading through it. As a painter I got so upset about the primary color argument. Primary colors are colors you can't mix to make. Glad Garnt fact checked that one. Also as an American with an English parent...Wales has the best flag.
They're more right than Garnt is. The three additive primary colors (light) are RGB (Red, Green, Blue); these are used for every graphics. The three subtractive colors (paint) are CMY (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow).
RYB (Red, Yellow, Blue) is taught in school as 'primary colors' for several reasons: tradition, availability, easy to remember, etc. The red-blue colors are where this gamut really falls short as magenta is so far outside this range.
We still don't have perfect cyan and magenta though; so, the largest gamut we can make [with the paints available] requires at least 4-5 colors.
Cobalt Teal - Ultramarine Blue - Bismuth Yellow - Quinacridone Magenta - Pyrrole Orange has a very large gamut.

The problem is that "primary colors" means very little.
It essentially just means which colors you bought at the store. Thus you always have more of that color to use without having to mix two other colors to create it.
They were, our eyes only see red, green, and blue; every other color is a different mixture of those

It actually isn't in additive color mixing. Red, blue, green are, just like Joey and Connor said. The actual primary colors for substractive color blending (aka mixing paints) are magenta, yellow, cyan. So Garnt is still wrong anyway xD

Depends what you're talking about. When it comes to design and art, the primary colors are blue, red, and yellow, with green being a mixture of blue and yellow. The primary colors of human vision and computer screens however are blue, red, and green, with yellow being seen when the red and green color sensors in our eyes activate. Which set is the "actual" set of primary colors really just depends on what context you're using.

The reason the Welsh flag is not represented on the Union Jack is, because England conquered Wales and when the Union Jack was created they saw Wales as a part of England. Plus Wales had a different flag at the time. St. David’s cross is Wales’ original flag. It was not until later that Wales got the iconic flag they currently have.
Just to add a little more, the St George cross was officially adopted as the national flag of the kingdom of England & Wales, and done so under a Welsh dynasty - the Tudors. In that sense Wales is represented in the UK flag. Primarily through sport though, the St George cross is now seen as exclusively English to a modern audience.
I like the modern Welsh flag and the Cross of St David, but unfortunately it would now be difficult to incorporate either into the Union flag without it getting messy. Where perhaps it could more easily be introduced is on the Queen's standard, which presently includes the Lions of England and Scotland, the Irish Harp, but not the Welsh Dragon.

Wrong in every section of your post. Wales as unified nation (1057) was never fully conquered. The Principality of Wales only ever refferd to Gwynedd in the North West of the country. The rest was under English occupation from 1284-1408. Then the entire nation was autonomous from 1408 to 1536.
This is also the reason why it needed annexation, as if it was already a part of England from 1284 as people maintain, annexation wouldn't have been necessary.
As of 1967, The successor state to the Kingdom of England is "England and Wales" - Denoting Equal Standing among the two. Afterall, you don't say England and Yorkshire, as Yorkshire is a part of England.

I like how Connor and Joey get on Garnt about primary colours but they are both correct. In painting the primary colours are R, B, Y, but in physics its R, G, B. Many children are taught the primary colours with paint and therefore know yellow as one of them.
Well you say that, but with the physics model you can't truly replicate yellow as we see it. At least not artificially. Since the color of light is based on wavelength and we have specific cone cell receptors that see yellow, but not green. So the painting method is how we see light, replicating yellow with RGB is an optical illusion.

I’m Welsh and the best looking flag is the Welsh dragon 🏴. The story behind it is , the words dragon and dreic appeared in early Welsh texts from the 6th Century. While in the 12th Century legend of Merlin, two sleeping dragons - one red, one white - wake up and begin fighting, coming to represent the struggle between the Welsh (red) and the English (white).

Most common two triplets like that are Red, Green and Blue and Cyan, Magneta, Yellow. This doesn't make any of these colors special since you can absolutely make like Blue by mixing CMY in various ratios, or make Y by mixing RGB in a specific ratio.
It's kinda like how Greenwich is no special place we just decided to place the 0th meridian there. It could have been any other place.

Theres so many stuff that goes with it like the legend of King Arthur and Merlin and so on, but yeah I'd recommend reading through it. Welsh literature and Myths are pretty cool (like look up an image of Arawn and Gwydion and Math fab Mathonwy) they are all very fantasy looking.
