This is perfect. The balance of the group is perfect. They are so together, and if you’re a chamber music player, you’ll know what that means … everything! That isn’t 5 people, it’s one quintet with one perfect sound, rarely achieved. Nobody’s flinging themself about like the chair seat’s on fire, and there’s no egotists. And thank you to the tech crew for using the right mic placement to capture it. I’m coming up 80, ex cellist, ex studio sound tech. Have played vc1 and vc2 often, and I am so happy to have found this particular video of Schubert’s final work, his “goodbye”. (He died two months after completing it, and never heard it). This is wonderful. Thank you to everybody.
