Why do people of this generation make such a big deal about artist that lipsynch? musicians have been lipsynching since the 60s and probably before that. You know it's them singing the song. Sometimes they may need to save their voices for touring.

I've seen 'IYBT' lipped and 'IBIYAM' lipped, but there are far more shows she didn't 'lip'. She's also pretty far into her pregnancy here, and she did have a serious medical condition while pregnant. That was my main point about wanting a 'break' that day.

She was not lip-syncing. SHE was singing into a dead mic. That show (just like Soul Train) seldom allows artists to do full live performances (also for a few other reasons ie pregancy changes the voice due to hormones). HOWEVER, Whitney sweats on her upper lip and closes her eyes when performing the climax of truly challenging songs. So that audience is getting a true treat if they are sitting close enough to hear her belt.
