A lot of older universities have similar dining halls to this. Oxford University in England is also very similar, and was actually used for some scenes in Harry Potter 😂

i have a very important question....after a student is accepted at harvard , what is the procedure to get into the soccer team or is it mandatory to get recruited in the university to begin with?
bro if you're good enough you can walk onto any team in the country. any team. but chances are you ain't good enough so will likely have to contact the coach or assistant coaches or players on the team you may know just to get a couple of days on a trial or something. coaches don't wanna waste time with every tom, dick and harry.
The coach may recruit them out of secondary school. Harvard like all Ivy League schools does not give out athletic scholarships. So anyone playing on their team either has money or is on an academic scholarship.

I have a showcase trial at Harvard in August this year where coaches from a few of the top colleges are coming to scout. But this video has really not convinced me about the level of Football as I am aspiring to go pro and mostly focus on Football.

@@yazanhanif8168 yeah, clemson, wake forest, georgetown are usually where they take it very seriously
Generally the level in the ivy league is lower compared to other conferences as you're dealing with more well rounded individuals, but the level at Harvard, from what I saw at least, is still comparable to other top 50 programs and will allow your career to progress if you're looking to become a professional.
@@SpencerMoeller Yeah I guess, I am from Europe and already play at an academy in Finland so I'm really unsure if going to America will help my career progression. I want to go to collage but I would rather focus on going pro.

Class is based on how many credits you’ve taken , not your age . There are no age limits in ncaa atleast .

Clearly the goal is not to make it pro in one of the top European leagues. This is equivalent to 13yr old academy players in England.
The goal for this guy and anyone on the Harvard team is to get a degree from Harvard. The money that they can make with the jobs that they can get will last more than whatever money that they make in a non top 5 European league.

This is why U.S soccer fails in the worlds perspective. Players being chosen for education rather than raw talent. A lot of these factors come down to the players not having educational resources growing up. Thus contributing to their decline in education but not eliminating their growth in talent. It’s rare when a player has both talent and a high GPA. I applaud this guy but this is why the U.S will never produce a Neymar, Messi, or Ronaldo. Players in the U.S have to focus on too many things to succeed rather than just their talent. In the long run this guy will have a wonderful career outside of soccer but let’s be honest, we ain’t getting any World Cup talent coming from any D1 program including Harvard.
