Thank you for your update!!! My daughter also goes to unc Charlotte this is her freshman year nursing major. We live in Pinehurst NC so grateful for your content
Recently found your feeds. From what I've seen so far, you have a great meteorological/TV future ahead of you! Articulate, knowledgeable, handsome on-camera presence, and a joy to watch! You're a rock star!👍
Thank you for the time and effort you put into your videos and coverage.Your coverage is reliable and always easy to follow without a bunch of fluff and 15 monitors on screen taking up space👏. I often think of questions when watching your updates, and it's not long before you are already addressing the same questions : ) So glad I found your channel!! I hope you eventually get some merch items when you are able to...hats and tee's would be fun to promote your channel!! Thanks again! Well done!
Gerald, so nice to see your channel blow up with subs. Keep up the great work. Thanks for usually mentioning the Newport News, tidewater area in your reporting 👍🏼💝
I'm planning to get up early Friday, so I don't miss a single flake of snow in Atlanta. I hope we get more than expected. 'Snow, snow, snow, snow, SNOW! It won't be long before we'll all be there with snow. I want to wash my hands, my face and hair in snow.'
Storm chaser in SE NC here. Few predictions for the Jacksonville area. Some models show up to an inch of snow before rainfall, but I very seriously doubt it. Some models just rain. It's currently 31 degrees here at 6pm on Thursday. Might dip into the upper teens tonight. Tomorrow night though, near 30. While that can produce snow (and a brief snow shower is possible) I think we'll likely get maybe a tenth of an inch of sleet. Followed by mid morning rain as temperatures rise. AM commute will certainly be rough. Drive slow & remember to turn into a skid if you lose control. Be extra careful on any bridges or under passes. Roads will be slick until mid morning on Saturday.
The local mets here in the Midlands of SC have dropped snow from the forecast completely. It's just freezing rain. Still no watches/warnings for my area. This doesn't sound fun. Thanks for all the hard work you've done the past few days/weeks, GM. You are appreciated! And congrats on 30K!
I’ll get 8 inches in south middle Tennessee. I got some alternative heat sources yesterday for my home, stocked the fridge, and got beer and smokes… let’s go.
That's 3 inches more than me 😂. Did the same, plus got my generator gassed up, car and truck gassed up AND I got two 5 gallon gas cans filled. I got that ⛽
we often outperform the models in these type of storms with snow totals in the SE (not had a storm like this in a few years).. I wouldn't be surprised to wake up to 4" to 6" along the I-85 corridor (CLT to Raleigh). Looking forward to see how much does pan out.
Clear skies and sunny here in Toronto, but frigid, temps in the teens, feeling much colder with the wind. No snow recently. Thanks, Gerald, for your reports and consistence.
Good morning I am out of Jones county and I would like to say I like your attitude and how factual you are , with two semesters of aviation weather I look at what you say and make my one predictions of what is happening with the maps . Keep up the good work.
Good morning from The Colony, Tx (Denton Co.) I live 29 miles north from downtown Dallas, & we have an inch of snow/sleet mix already. If we continue at this rate of precipitation we may very well see over 6-8" easily. Hoping everyone in the storm path remains safe, warm, & minimum power outages.
Good morning from sunny, cold and a few flurries here in Massachusetts 😊 Oh yeah and it’s very windy bringing our wind chills below zero first thing this morning. Brrrrr
Watching from Loogootee Indiana in Martin county We received 8 inches from last storm. Nothing has melted . Both school districts in the county still closed. We are very rural
Good morning, enjoying your content. I live in a weird microclimate in Laurens county SC in the corner near Greenville county. For the past several years we have dodged many bullets with major damage and storms either skipping or going around me. Not sure why that is but I do like it. It is going to be interesting to see what this storm brings me as well as the surrounding area.
Dang Dude! When I saw those purple clouds, you sure grabbed my interest. I've moved from CA to KY, this is my first winter in LEX. This is wild after living in average temperatures of 70 degrees. I love the snow at night, it's some beautiful stuff. California burns and they are polluting our air.
Sunup Thursday on Delmarva.......the birds are singing and the sky is blue......Philly is using shovels on their last snow...we are using brooms.... joe
Watcher from Garner NC - Great channel but you could make it much better if you could find a way to highlight state boundaries as the weather passes through a state. very hard to distinguish state particularly on the east coast.
In the Atlanta area they’re never right about the snowfall amounts or where the snow/rainfall line is. If you live in the Atlanta area I would recommend making a big pot of something like beef stew so in case the power goes out and your kitchen stove is electric you can use an outdoor propane burner to heat it up. A lot easier than trying to cook a regular meal on an outdoor gas burner or grill.
There is going to be considerable cold air damming in north/north central. Models (other than the NAM) do not handle this well. I would say Atlanta snow mixing with, changing to freezing rain. I don't see it being strong enough to erode the wedge.
Stay in, stay safe and pray for all the Hurricane Helene homeless and CA fire victims. 😢
Asheville NC here, hoping everyone is staying warm❄️
Good job on calling this storm you’re better than my local weather newscaster sitting in Virginia 👍

A snowstorm in the forecast is a good reason to stock up on pizza and beer, enough to last 2 weeks.
