I wish we had trains like the 37 hauls today The unit at Barrhill was quite new and would soon replace the 37's. We stayed near Barrhill and I walked to the station to have a look around The signaller was also the ticket clerk and the tablet machines were in the booking office I asked if I could have a look in the signalbox and he was OK with that so it is nice I now have a bit of what used to be on the line.
Back then these were on nearly every train. The sound of them could be heard miles away in the remote areas. I went to Kyle but not on the green stock shown here
Thats our standard crossing alarm called Yodalarms We used to use a bell years ago and changed to these, I think because there is nothing else like it on the roads, so you don't think it is a fire truck or something like that. With no gates here they keep sounding at crossings with full gates they stop when they are all across the road.
History made!

Believe it or not, my favourite diesel locomotive is the Class 37. Thank you for showing one on this small line!!

@@cedarcam 👍😊
The shot of the level crossing is just like a scene in the layout “Parahandi”.
We went to Scotland on holiday for years I remember the old crossing here
Great video!! Where are you videoing from? If you’re using the car as a studio, do be careful or you’ll cause a crash!!
No worries My Father was driving and me sat in the back. I happened to spot the 37 and luckily was able to get a bit of video.
