Somewhere I have a DVD featuring the late very great John Lee. In this film he goes to the studio to sign I think it was 5 guitars. So he begins signing them, but .. one one he misses an O in Hooker. So he signed it John Lee Hocker. This was pointed out to him so he simply wrote an O just above and between the O and the C in Hocker. No idea where that guitar is now but I'd bet it's worth a few Bob.. It turned out John wasn't very literate, didn't stop him becoming the Legend that he was and still is. Something to be learned there.
I Love That Sound...Thank you for sharing this. I like that playing along with a tempo in the background. I'm teaching myself on a keybord...how to play....by ear..I train my ears to the keys ...then add that tempo in the back and play along...you sound real good.
Thank you so much man. Love the videos, techniques and the vibe. Curious to your history in the business as-well. Cool when you tell us bits of the journey.
My big hang up is I don’t know how to finer pick. I only know how to flat pick. Can I get some what close to your sound? Of course I’m no where good like you.

Such a simple movement with such a great sound, and a good way for me to start playing more in Drop D. Thank you Mr Jimmy Dillon!
Ok i guess that is what you are using tremolo from your amp! Tremolo is a very underrated effect! It has that CCR thing about it!
Wonderful stuff Jimmy, and approachable for old guys like me! Thank you so much!
Thanks for posting. John Lee Hooker had an incredible tone.
You're welcome, and he sure did.
Reminds me of a tremolo pedal, very cool! Jimmy! Are you using one? Or is it built into your amp?

Can you get the money shot on the G string though?
Can you please explain that "Looper" to me...
What equipment is necessary to create my own "looper effect"?
There are many looper pedals on the market. Some are quite simple, other very complex. Google is your friend.
This is so nasty. Can’t wait to try
I meant finger pick
Sounds like Stevie Miller, Nobody loves you, like the way I do
