Yes,,my mom went through 3 months of chemo and radiation after she was diagnosed with stage four non small cell carcinoma lung cancer ,and this song was the one that oddly carried me though it as her caretaker. It has the most gorgeous lyrics on the most horrible thing to ever happen.
Chanced upon this song just a few days ago and no song has ever hit me hard until this one. Not only the melody but the lyrics as well. Maybe because I lost my mother to cancer and I've witnessed the agony. I'm not sure there's any other song that could top this.
MCR is my most favorite band beside Breaking Benjamin so my suggestion to you is Ashes if Eden by Breaking Benjamin. Pretty deep.
