Just saying, that fan hat works amazing. It really cools you off. When I was in marching band about maybe two years ago I had gotten one of them to use for Band camp because it was held in early August at college when it was really hot, and we were outside almost all day. It really helped. It kept me nice and cool. It was also a great fashion statement. Everyone asked me where I got it and how they could get one.
That pendulum would probably be a lot better if it had a narrower tip. Less drag in the sand so it would swing longer, plus this blunt, deep cursor is making a very wide "brush stroke" that effectively erases anything under it. A typical pendulum like this is meant to do multiple passes, and you get lots of overlapping lines with more variety.
I think in order for the flashlight to work everything has to be inside first, so there’s contact (probably why all those things are metal, to conduct??)
