steve perry, wanya morris and luther were exceptional on this note very well supported. however David Phelps and his otherworldly Tenor Voice shines through like a beam from heaven. his resonance alone would overtake half the men on this list. its not just about hitting notes but he sings with such power, passion, control and resonance from very low to his upper reaches.
@@Christfollower06 im practicing subharmonics I think I can get there. I got a d1 with resonance, and have gone lower than c1. Need to work on better control and more consistency with it.
@@ingropetinal3915 I think there were plenty of supported C#5s throughout the video. Just because a note doesn't have that dark wonderful tone that David's does, it doesn't mean it's not supported. Take Adam Lambert's (0:57), for example. It has a nice, bright sound, yet it sounds supported to me.
Bryan has the most beautiful 5th octave notes. Very smooth and easy with a subtle tone. That's very unusual for guys, even the ones with the super high voices. I'd say Bryan, Davi and Adam were the best. I really liked Joshua's. He perhaps has the best timbre of the guys here. Incredibly beautiful.
I honestly really like Luther’s. It’s probably not the best by any objective standard, and he’s clearly singing above his comfort, but it’s really soulful and has that thick slightly gritty sound that almost all these other guys lack.
A F no it’s not less skill it’s different skill, it sounds beautiful and has a good technique to do it. People need to stop being obsessed about belting, volume does not equal quality
Mauricio Blandino It's a different skill for sure, and a very good skill that Sam has. but it is nowhere near as rare or difficult then what David Phelps is doing. popular or not. them's the apples. there are millions of people who can sing similar to Sam smith and few if any that can match what David Phelps pulls off. So they are apples and oranges true. I won't disagree. but they are not the same size or quality.
Desculpe todos os cantores mas o meu favorito foi sem dúvidas o Davi Lukato. É muito difícil executar essa nota sem quebrar e sem tensão, e ele ainda cantou a versão da Celine que é impossível. Foi perfeito.
I'm suprised to see so many of these high tenor singers straining on this note! I'd have to say that Steve Perry had the best note out of this group. His high range was incredibly effortless and he had a really pleasant relaxed tone up there!
Are you kidding me?? C#5 is a female note and it's so fucking high for a male voice. I can hit it and I can tell you that it's really high to hit in chest voice even for a tenor like me
Lmao all those other guys are on the stage like with flashing lights and in front of a huge audience then there's Mitch with the blonde wig and like 50 pieces of confetti

All of them are very incredible singers around the world and they definitely get those high notes, but still I get in Luis Miguel this powerfully unique tone, unmatchable
Lots of good singers here. Hitting those high notes and keeping some vocal character unique to the singer is more rare. Many sound alike when hitting those high notes.
For people who's mocking David Phelps, now think about this, that's why he got a different tone, resonance and dynamics it's because of his great technique and support. His Db5 sounds way more fuller and more pleasant in the ears compared to these other singers it's because they have no support. That's why they sounds like squeaking. NOW IMAGINE IF DAVID SINGS WITH NO SUPPORT. I wonder how high is that gonna be.

Rafael Araújo I appreciate the work you put compiling these power vocals. But seriously Mickey's rendition of Cucurrucucu Paloma again isn't doing justice in comparison to dozens of better footage available of LM especially on TH-cam. I could barely hit a b flat a while ago but i worked on mixed voice really hard and got up to about e, it's all about technique if you think you're a lowset tenor like me
Dio and Russell Allen hit that note better than everyone on this list lol. So many great singers on this list, just cant believe those two aren't on it! C#5 is like their money note lol. Cool to see Mauro Henrique. Hes great
I’ve never heard Davi Lukato before but to my ears he hit it the cleanest with best tone.
Also, Steve Perry singing any note is great in my opinion.

David Phelps in his own league. Sam Smith sounds like he's singing in falsetto? Adam Lambert...watching him closer as his style develops.... IMO
