The dive watch section of the market is absolutely saturated, however excellence will always prevail. So many dive watches look like a combination of parts joined together, but this watch looks like each part influenced the design of the adjacent part. This watch has synergie. Love it.
I love seeing a watch I've never heard of before! And it's nice to see a micro starting with the Aquis as a starting point rather than the Sub or the Luminor.
Loctite... just to be clear, means threadlocker. Loctite 222MS Purple is a low strength threadlocker formula designed for the locking and sealing of threaded fasteners which require easy disassembly with standard hand tools.
Thanks for this! The only type of loctite I’ve heard of is SuperGlue and I’ve always wondered why reviewers keep mentioning it and not explaining what type of Loctite. It’s obviously inside knowledge. Useful to know!
First glance and it seems like an Oris Aquis to me... Second glance and the dial color reminds me of that Peren military watch... What's not to like? Very beatiful watch indeed! My only gripe is that the hours hand seems a bit too small.
Great review and a beautiful looking watch. To me it has Oris Aquis vibes but it seems like the movement in this one is considerably better than the relatively basic and budget Sellita SW200s that are in so many Oris divers that also cost considerably more than this watch.
Peter, you are always so kind and nice towards the watches you review (they all gain no more than 2 seconds per day, the latching experience is always buttery smooth, the rotating bezels all align perfectly ….) that I really want to watch a video where you would roast a timepiece you don’t enjoy.
I hear you Jean, unfortunately I decided a while back not to get really cheaply made watches on the channel If I wouldn't buy them or wear them, I wont waste my money with them, so I wont review them That said, I remember reviewing a Phoibos GMT a while back, I think around January this year and wasn't pleased about it in many areas...here is the link: th-cam.com/video/VJcqeLdIrCQ/w-d-xo.html nonetheless, thanks for pointing that out bro 👍👍
Great video as always, Peter. This watch is a stunner but I am on lockdown until the new year begins because I have sold for watches in purchase three this year so I need to take it easy for a bit
It's a beautiful watch which I would have considered buying if the price wasn't quite a bit too steep at EUR 1000. The Direnzo Eclipse is IMO very similar in specs and is also a microbrand with very nice design and it's more affordable at 750 Swiss Francs. If they dropped the price by 250 Euros, I'd probably buy one.
Nice looking watch, great size and interesting movement. The bracelet bracket is a winner. Imagine if Oris had this? Not sure about the font on the bezel and the branding. Seems a bit of a long name to me.
Hi, first of all you pronounced the brand name correctly. Yours is the first review in English and it is also the first to highlight those small defects that you mentioned. I also think that I would have liked more to be able to see the movement inside: there are many watches where this is also possible if, often there is nothing to see, especially if we are talking about Mijota movements of the 8000 series. I will wait to get it. Perhaps, a second version will be released where these small teething problems will be solved. Many thanks for your video, greetings from 'Italy!
In respect to a Sellita 200 it's thinner, has far more power reserve, and I suspect you can have a top grade G100 (so better finishing and +-7seconds/day) for the price of a standard grade Sellita 200 (no special finishing and +-12 seconds/day).
@@neutronalchemist3241 I see the G100 is used in the Aquastar Model 60 and some Farer models - Even the Serica range now uses COSC Soprod Movements! I think ETA stepping side ways has meant that Soprod, LJP and Sellita have lifted their games and given us some very good calibres - 10 years ago you would turn your nose up if a watch had a Seillita movement - not anymore.
Yes, I get to keep this watch..that's why i decided I might as well wear it and really get to know it long term because it is very comfortable, practical and easy on the eyes ...it has not disappointed even though the 6 gripes
I believe designed in Italy, its says Swiss made (obviously a percentage of the parts etc)..where they assemble it, I am not sure Dave... Feel free drop them an email, I am sure they will provide any info, cheers brother 🥃
Similar, I believe the Vostok is a male end-link , this one is female. Vostok has been great in introducing new ideas and innovations..I love their case-backs..just BRILLIANT !!
A very nice watch with a balanced design and an interesting choice of font for the bezel. It's a pity one can't see the movement. Also, I find it a little overpriced. I bought a Zelos Spearfish 40mm last year with the same movement and in my opinion comparable finishing (and on-the-fly bracelet adjustment) and it cost me about 730 € including the customs fee and shipping.
Good looking watch, nice colour dial but would've expected a colour matched date wheel for that price...maybe just me? Interesting strap arrangement. If I only add one more dive watch to my collection it'll have to have a bezel with that 15,30,45 style.
Not impressed to be honest. Looks like a more minimal Aquis. Good to see the LJP on more and more watches these days, can't wait to see what the future holds.
What's the news here? That Italians found a right/easy way around a problem? Or that they got the looks damn well? Oh man, this is so yesterday's news for us knowing them!😎😋 Cheers Peter, thanks for the presentation of (another!!!) brand. Be well mate. PS SVPER... reminds me of those stupid college's societies names, trying to have Greek letters.
I agree, if this didn't have a divers bezel then yes definitely a smaller footprint would be nicer.. As it stands, I think it wears beautifully for its intended purpose cheers
a dive watch that looks like every other dive watch with a couple hundred dollar movement, incredible. not knocking this brand in particular but these microbrands need to come up with their own ideas, come up with something, you know, interesting, new?
All watches and of course dive watches in particular have many parts and therefore the looks in common. This watch looks as individual as it is possible to still look consistent. But as always beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
1:41 "Officine Techniche has sponsored this video" - this quick 3 seconds sentence deserves more attention than given in the video. Dear viewer, you are watching a sponsored video aka a commercial. Be aware of this. The watch may or may not be good - I'm expressing no opinion on that. But it's important to know when the video is paid for because a paid video is at odds with objectivity.
If they let him keep the watch and that is all, then it's not sponsored in any real way. Is he going to say good things in order to get more free watches? I doubt he wants new watches that badly......😊😊
Looks like a cheap mans oris aquis. Save up and buy the Oris. Sponsored videos are always somewhat biased. You never see this was is terrible from a sponsored video. Its always complimentary
@@L233233 well you can only wear so many watches so better to save and buy the one you want than to buy cheap and still crave the more expensive one that you actually wanted. Oris also have brand equity and legitimate history. This watch has neither
Reminds me quite a lot of Oris Aquis. I remember there being similar strap adapters for those on Etsy
Love the small details, like the counter balance on the seconds hand and the font used for the numbers on the bezel.
Oh a Peter Kosta Video: Sunday is saved :)
hahaha, that's very funny
@@PeterKotsait’s funny because it’s TRUE
Totally agree guys. 😊
Had no idea this brand existed but I’m sold. What a simplistically beautiful piece
Worth a consideration, like the font on the bezel
Now that is a beautiful watch.

It’s a fantastic watch, the wearability is top.. I bought the black one with old radium style lume 👍🏻👍🏻 Nice video, forza Puglia 🇮🇹
Enjoy it and wear it in good health 🥃
I love seeing a watch I've never heard of before! And it's nice to see a micro starting with the Aquis as a starting point rather than the Sub or the Luminor.
Small gripe: the bracelet should taper 2mm. I find straight-cut bracelets don't feel as nice when I am moving my wrists.

Oh, so they did what Vostok did with their 960 case, which you can get a strap adaptor for. Except the Vostok is a male endlink with a 18mm strap.

100 € are for the better diving specs (in watches so thin, 100m more costs) and €150 for manufacturing in Switzerland instead of Hong Kong.
Can you buy this in the USA?
Yes shipping worldwide😄
