I got hooked on locks and safes after watching a movie back in the mid sixties...the movie was called 'Time Lock'...kid gets locked in a bank vault and they had to get the boy free before the air ran out...they located an expert safecracker, the only guy with the knowhow to save the kid...I wanted to be that guy!!!...Iv'e since rescued dozens of kids, babys and pets from locked vehicles over the years. I've also cracked many a safe and vault...but i never found a kid inside any of them!...oh well i'll keep looking I guess...David B CMS #Lockboss

I love hearing all of the stories. My interest in locks and keys began several years ago. I've been in real estate sales for over 36 years, and I started with lockouts, decoding locks & making keys for houses that were going on the market, and taking care of my real estate clients with their lock needs. I found that most buyers use the keys the seller gives them at closing and don’t consider who else might have a key to their new home. I work with other agents to educate their buyers on the importance of reking the locks on their new home. That is my passion; I also work with commercial and property management companies. After opening a couple of doors for friends, I talked to a locksmith in our area and he was so generous with his time and materials. Taught me a lot of stuff and instilled a love for the trade which I've turned into a career. #lockboss - Thank you PJ and the team for all you do, It's nice to have a community who loves to share stories!

I got into locks and keys over 20 years ago with Lockport and last year I bought out an estate of a locksmith and bought your training program and I will be doing locksmithing when I retire from my non locksmith job. #Lockboss
I had some interesting/insightful experiences with bypassing locksets or using locksmiths in the past, randomly caught a vid noting people who do well for even installation, found a local community college cert course in it, invested tons of time and energy going there. Now, I’m always watching for jobs but wary of starting at less than I make now (live in very high COL area), at something clerical. Will likely bite the bullet and start with a local locksmith.
