I started watching and realized there’s my chainsaw 😊 a gift from my mom when my wife and I bought our house in 1986. I bought another one for parts about ten years ago and of course it ran after a little work so now I’ve got two 😃 Thanks for posting this ♥️ you brought back memories of my wife and mom 😇

Dad received the Poulan green version of that saw from fellow hunting buddies in 1973.The darn thing just won't quit. We cut wood to feed the woodstove with it for 15 years until we finally moved on to some bigger saws. That saw in it's bright green carrier still followed us out to the woods as a rescue saw for many years. Still gets dusted off occasionally. Bet I've been given 3 dozen of those exact same saws in various manufacturer's colors over the years. Seems like the most rebranded saw of all times.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this chain saw by Craftsman/Poulan. They were light weight, easy to start, just a pleasure to use. The only grip I ever had was there was only one bolt to tighten the bar. Just worked on one exactly like that one this week for a lady. It was her dad's. I didn't restore it, but I did go through it and make it run like new. It sat for several years. Funny thing is, when I took the carb apart, it looked as clean as yours did. The pump diaphragm was slightly "plastic-y", but the metering diaphragm was soft as silk. I was as surprised as you were, lol. Cleaned and rebuilt anyway with a new kit. We normally tend to turn older equipment away if it's not worth much, but those old Craftsman saws are legendary.

My first experience with a chain saw was with a Craftsman just like that one. I cut down an Elm tree that was 38" in diameter with it and sawed it into firewood. The next saw I used was another Crafts man and it was also a workhorse. My understanding was that Poulan built the Craftsman saws but i had a Poulan and it was a do detter, but it did not last long with all the wood I cut. Great job Bre and loved the video
