I am a gay man and a follower of Jesus Our Lord and Savior. I lived in an unbroken, monogamous, loving relationship with the man I called my husband for 45 years until his death six years ago. Nine months afterward, I found salvation in God's welcome and encouragement. I have since blessed Wesley's ministry, one which I myself hope to emulate. I must say, though, that since my salvation, I have never spent a single day feeling lonely or needy. My friends - all who offer spiritual friendship of the kind Wesley has spoken - uplift me daily. And it not only maintains my faith - it strengthens it.

Same. I live alone and don’t feel lonely. I am 35 and don’t see myself getting married due to my same sex attraction.

I still question if heterosexual is Gods design, why was I born gay ? Why did he make me like this ? It doesn’t make sense.

Hi Scott, I struggle with the same question. I have come to understand that God did not make me like this. It is the sin that I was born with (Original Sin) that is the reponsible for my same sex attraction. Some peope struggle with many types of Lust (sexual or non-sexual) I feel sad to see that I feel lonely and the only way to do God's will is to be celibate. In 2nd Corinthians 12, Paul suffers because God has not freed him from thorn on his flesh and God say to him: “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
      God Bless.
