This run really showed off one of my favorite parts of early lesson learned; you can rest all the time because your upgrade density will be completely fine anyway.
Timestamps for when Baalor picks up the cards in the thumbnail (Omegas, or rather the cards that generate them, Alphas): Alpha #1: (1:11:07) (Floor 46 Elite) (That's the only one Baalor needed.) I think the Watcher came out First in this run!
If I had to explain another reason why card draw is so good in this game (to help answer that chatter) I would say that STS is a game that asks you to be incredibly versatile going into the late game. You need to be able to block and attack on a moments notice, or even at the same time. Card draw lets you achieve this in 2 ways: firstly - by manipulating your deck and getting to specific cards faster, and second - by expanding what you are capable of doing on any given turn. Without draw, you may draw into a hand full of nothing but 5 attacks, and have no way of blocking. Card draw means potentially opening up your options by giving you a higher number of cards per turn than the basic 5 cards. Which means a higher chance that at least some of the cards in your hand are suited for the current situation
Something interesting: the modded character, Prismatic, which is something of a fusion between all four of the game's characters, has some minor balance changes to some of the cards in the base game. One of them is to the Alpha-Beta-Omega chain, which adds "Scry 4/5" to Alpha and Beta, which I think helps them a lot to make getting Omega into play a bit faster and more consistent. It also does stuff like make Master Reality and Establishment into rellics, making them both more practical and cleaning up the card pool a little.
The reason bottled Seek is better than bottled Apotheosis or Scrawl is simple: upgraded Seek is technically *also* both Apothesis *AND* Scrawl, but only if you need it to be.
Am I the only person who just HATES Frozen Eye? I get that it’s arguably the strongest relic in the game besides the boss ones, but the game feels awful with it.
No, I agree with you, when I'm playing I generally find it makes the game less fun to play. To get value out of it you need to play slower and use a lot more RAM, so to speak, to keep track of all the information available to you. I have no problem admitting that I just don't enjoy having to exert that much mental effort most of the time. I actually think it could be made a lot more fun with a few clever UI changes, like perhaps adding a permanent "next hand draw" preview near the deck or some other visual ways to help track your cards other than tabbing back and forth between the deck screen and your hand. I certainly don't mind that it exists in the game, though. I really appreciate the several relics that change fundamental things about how the game plays, they're very interesting, they're just not always a ton of fun to use.
I think it was a great design decision to make frozen eye a shop relic. That way you are never forced to take it and usually there is something else you can do instead that is fun and interesting. I don't mind it, but sometimes I deliberately don't take it because I don't want to do all that thinking.
You can't get Seek+ on Watcher normally, but technically bottled Seek+ would still be better here. With bottled Omniscience, if you draw another Omniscience in your starting hand, it ends up breaking the chaining since you need it in the draw pile instead. If you have Seek+ though, you can optionally seek for the Omniscience (plus another card!) to your hand, which you can choose not to do if you naturally draw the other Omniscience to your hand already. Bottled Seek+ basically gives you the maximum optionality while also giving you an extra card since it allows you to find two cards from the deck. I can't see many situations where you wouldn't just bottle it if given the chance.
The titles are all clickbait nonsense, they don't mean anything. Like there was an AtS run on the second channel with a title like "I abused a broken strat" and it was a completely standard run. It's garbage and I wish he didn't do it.

Healing card in disguise.
@@8bitpixelbreakinOne of the best healing card even, +20/25 HP
*sees him grab frozen eye* *checks run time*
Yup
*Checks runtime and then sees Frozen Eye in first shop*
Sounds about right.
Every damn time LMAO
Frozen eye aka Run Time++
Should just be called Overthinking and be a brain frozen in ice 😆
Actually for a Frozen Eye run this was pretty quick.

This is just kind of another note, there are a lot of reasons draw is good that I didn’t mention at all
Also most decks require you to cycle through it once to set up and card draw lets you reach that corruption placed in the last 5-10 cards
Really? So you're telling me more resources means more power? Didn't know that
@@Seargent_Scrapswho hurt you?
@@shanecommins7968 Sounds like you are hurt by my comment. Nobody needs to give a technical explanation of why card draw is good in a card game.
wow Baalor got literally everything he asked for, it's RNGesus' birthday
Always love seeing an omega run. Looking forward to this!
Same
1:02:40 I love how you turn a genuine laugh into a performative evil laugh so smoothly you can barely notice it. Just great improv.
Truly a 1 in 3 run for the ages!

If you bottle Scrawl or Apotheosis, they will always be Scrawl or Apotheosis. But a bottled Seek could be anything. Even a Scrawl or an Apotheosis!
1:32:30 "BWOOOM" ~ Amazing!!!

When it’s titled like this you know its a fucking banger

It's definitely a learning curve, similar to Pyramid or Snecko you have to approach the game differently and it can be awkward until you use it a lot
@@KaninDev1is it a learning curve at all? The calculation isn’t complicated, which is the tedious boring part
I agree, it's cumbersome

Is could be good better than is good?
depending on the situation, yes. 'Is good' is, on average, better than 'could be good'

Strange how there's equal numbers of "one in a million," "one in a billion," and now "one in a thousand" runs on the channel..
well isn't that funny!
Everyone knows that if something is a one in a million chance it happens every time
Considering there are about 3.3 quintillion possible seeds, technically every run is a "one in 3.3 quintillion" run
