The lion stamp means 'traditional fineness'. It is added as a standard at the Goldsmiths' Company Assay Office. This stamp originated in England during Henry the 8ths reign.

The lion of this design (lion passant ) is usually on sterling silver not gold. It was used on gold until the 1800s but the item is clearly not that old. The .375 mark suggests 9ct gold but it seems unlikely. It could be gold plated silver unfortunately.

thanks Brad👍 it was most likely a grey nurse shark, i just caught it on the corner of my eye, 2 years ago a man was eaten by a 4 metre great white shark just a hundred metres from where i am. when i seen the video footage of the incident 2 bites and this person was consumed. i cant look at seagulls the same as they fed on the floating flesh. I have a whole new respect for these animals, the ocean truly is their home and i accept the risks on every dive💦❤ this ring i have to admit was 99% dumb luck lol 🤣 and 1% skillz👍👍 the pinpointer only has a range of 2.5 inches at best so my search had to be very bloody accurate😎 i love these lost jewellery recoveries as they really put me to the test. see you on the next hunt💦💍👍

Thanks Key👍 I'm really happy to hear you over come your small fear of octopus, with all wildlife❤ it's simply about understanding them, unfortunately many animals we have been taught to fear them. I think the movie JAWS which i still love i have to admit. has had many people scared of sharks well before the seventies. its unfortunate. Same with sharks they are the Apex predator of the ocean, however understanding their response and NOT freaking out when we see a shark can save our life. if a large shark is spotted KEEP your eyes locked onto the animal let them know you see them NEVER splash keep calm. if the shark is curious and comes in too close place your hand on the top of its face and push yourself to the side, Don't try to swim away fast its pointless. just stay calm and keep eye contact till the animal loses interest. think of a dog and a ball. a dog does not give chase to a ball just sitting there. but when you throw the ball the movement excites the dog, I believe this is the same concept with most animal. I'M NO EXPERT this is just my 2 cents👍👍 i never really find sharks teeth. Noah❤ and Layla❤ saved a big blue tongue lizard the other day im so proud of our little wildlife rescuers❤❤ see you on the next hunt💦💍👍
