      @@darkomega6597 from my 1st run exp, my base was attacked on day 5. Although they notify at the start of each day if enemies are nearing your base so you can try to intercept them. But i recommend not to do that at the early stages. It will just be a waste of act and stamina. Just like Ecko senpai said, better do the hunting and collecting resources during the first several runs. It's nigh impossible to clear all 12 days at that time.
      Also, dont forget to build construct(rice) and gathering support items first. Makes life a little bit easier. Also, plant rice on the bottom of the base. So the enemies wont reach it during a siege.

    For the skill tree, its HIGHLY HIGHLY essential to pick the perks that increase initial resources (wood, stone, iron). If you max those out, you can essentially build some of the basic structures you need for the base without ever having to even start the run.

    for new people that start this mode, my advice for you is the get the rice constructs, that should be your main priority, they will permanently give you food for future runs, you'll need 4 water and 16 wood per, so farm up on both, build as many rice as possible, then if a raid is coming towards you, on the final day before they show up at the base, abandon ship,
    you will keep the constructs that you built, max amount of rice is 12, so in future runs, you will be able to feed your top ops constantly without having to switch them up
    other tips I have for you is to not have a full squad, if you think 3 ops are enough for a stage, don't bring all 6, they will use stamina even if not deployed
    if a tile is deployable but you can't deploy someone on it, it's most likely a treasure chest/resource node blocking you
    also at research project there are 2 nodes at the very end which can be unlocked using project quests that are a godsend: reveal enemies in 8 tile radius instead of only tile ahead and reveal enemy who hit you for 20 seconds, they require you to place tier 2 scout/combat devices, get them ASAP for better runs

    This mode is huge and very different from what we usually have, since the tutorial is useless we rely on others and need some time to adjust. I wish it's permanent since honestly it is fun.

    For resource gathering nodes.
    You can scout every single tree/rock/iron by just attempting to place down ground operator. Unavailable spots that are normally available for them are where the resources are so no need to scout unless you want to find animals. For hidden areas, just look out for crumbling looking rocks, very easy to spot, and always use melee operator for this, for some reason my ranged operator can't hit them at all.
    Then for operators you want to bring, you want 2 types of operator.
    1. High DPS operator, plus points if helidrop. ( ex. Exu/SilverAsh/Chongyue for trees, Eyja/Mlynar for rock or iron )
    2. Cheap High block operator or Operator with 4 block. ( ex. Noir Corne or Hoshiguma, or even gravel to scoop out the odd 1 resource here and there).
    Oh and also don't be stingy on deploying the gathering bots, they would break even very easily
    Edit : did another testing today and the gathering robots are going to out DPS and out gather any of your operator especially on rock/iron. Bring as many of them as possible on every node.

    • @darkomega6597
      @darkomega6597 ปีที่แล้ว

      how many bots recommended per map? the time-limit quite strict.. 2 tree/2 water perhaps?

    • @eternalinsignia
      @eternalinsignia ปีที่แล้ว

      @@darkomega6597as long as it is effective, then you can deploy more. To me 1 gatherer constructs the need to bring me 3 times the amount of resources for wood, 2 times the amount for stone, 1.5 times the amount for iron. (stone and iron need operator help). (thus you need this construct to cover lot of node).
      For water: just deploy it at the beginning, the water resource is almost unlimited and the construct has 1x1 tile.

    • @esra013
      @esra013 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@darkomega6597 Did another playthrough today and I would say always bring the maximum amount of bots on any node. They would always double or triple their resource cost.
      For water, it depends to be honest. I usually only do water on hunting map where I can just solo the whole map with Texas and Yato with half the time remaining, leaving me a good amount of time at the start to place down as many water generator as I want.

    • @DemonRaticate
      @DemonRaticate ปีที่แล้ว

      A good early map to farm water is the Ballista Tree map. With the starting wood, you can spend 24 to make 1 pump and 2 harvesters. There are 2 areas where the harvesters can get wood without getting hit by the bolts and a pool in the lower area that only needs a single Texas or Yato to protect. I get 11 water and 50+ wood per run, which easily makes the early game food grind.

  • @Hokstons
    @Hokstons ปีที่แล้ว +18

    Found myself an easy way to defend the base.
    Build a line surrounded by walls and turrets that bind enemy put ifrit(give her food for dmg optional) to melt everything in that line, put tanky defender with a healer at the end so ifrit can kill even the chonky enemies and you can add any other dps to help out i use mlynar, gnosis, lin, basically any aoe dps i have in my roster also myrtle with the -8DP cost food it's a big help to generate dp from the get go.
    But tbh any good aoe dps works with some food+sp generator in my case ifrit is the core one here, but if you a newbie with fresh account that's a pretty hard event especially with the fact you can't bring support units.

    • @Hokstons
      @Hokstons ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@darkomega6597 there is 1 ranged enemy that i know of, but he is not that strong just annoying he prioritize structures over operators so you need to snipe them out with helidrops/fast redeploy or build whole base with level 2 walls(they get passive camo all the time)
      Also i encountered the fireball spiting enemy after the comment and forgot to mention there's exploding slugs coming to raid you sometimes so you want to have your defender isolated(don't place anything in the surrounding 8 tiles) so any aoe enemy attack wont hit other operators and especially walls if they manage to destroy an important wall that's gg
      So yeah ranged ops pretty much 100% save all the time, just don't let them destroy walls with aoe attacks leave some space between to counter those.
      you can manipulate enemy pathing pretty easy so it's not a problem just need to farm some resources for around 30-40 walls

    I would say this is 3 steps you will be to gather resources. This is how you advance after playtroughs.
    1st playthru,
    You're entering the map, hitting the trees with your operator. Each operator only can carry as much as their block count. If they're full, retreat. For a unit without range, like Saria, be sure to face her towards the plank you want to haul. (Saria can't hit the tree, but she can haul).
    2nd-3rd playthru,
    craft the harvester, the basic one is sufficient for trees. Advanced for stone. And Expert for rock or metal?
    Craft the harvester ASAP. Focus building the portable field in your base.
    You don't need to babysit the harverster. They're quite tough, especially later when you upgrade them. Just deploy to defend them, when it is getting hairy.
    4th playthru or up,
    With now you have like 10-12 paddy field on the base, now focus on killing bosses or enemy camps. They give you resources too. Why it is better because you're doing 2 jobs at once.
    1. You're getting resources without spending any for the gatherer. For instance you need 7 woods for the basic gatherer/ harvester. Sure the map says it has 60 woods, but they're all over the place inside the map. So it is likely you'll need 3 harvester camps to fully harvest the map. 21/60 is lost.
    2. The boss or camp will stop spawing waves to your base.
    For the early units, this is my recommendation. Since they do heavy lifting like to deal with massive 85 hordes or 10 red Mudrock golem.
    1. Mizuki
    2.Texas Alter or Yato Alter.
    3. Myrtle, Saileach, or Elysium.
    4. Gavial Alter
    5. Gladiia
    6. Free, could be either Surtr, Suzuran, Manticore, Ethan, Saria, Mudrock, Chongyue, Pallas.
    The idea is to get operator to CC, like slow or stun and true AoE. You can't expect them to reliably tank the enemy. 10 Red Mudrock Golem will kill anyone into orbit. Why less ranged operator because most of the map doesn't have good high ground placement. And the most versatile high ground operator, Goldenglow will be deprived from any sight when she's using s3. Though, if the map does have good high ground spot, please do bring the most OP one you can get. Like Kaltsit, GG, Chalter, or Suzuran.

Plus in case of gathering with block count you can use operators with skill based block to gather more. Like Mountain just switch his state and boom 2 instead of 1, Mlynar 3 instead of 0 and so on. Also resources require a specific damage type maximize efficiency: wood - physical, stone - arts, iron - (don't know yet).

    let me explain the emergency exit, on random node you can find emergency exit tool(message will appear if there is one in the node). you need to find it on random melee tile and deploy an operator on it to grab it. with this you can get out with 5 selected tool for next run

  • @misqi

    I failed all runs at the first raid before i upgraded some the base defense nodes. Those made me able to survive 2 raids until day 9, with only a single ranged unit tile in my base area. Then i skip all day activity and only do the first 2 raids pr run. It adds up decent enough points for the time spend, and i'm steadily making my way through the reward list. Just got the Pallas skin. While i do think the mode becomes more enjoyable when you unlock a lot of the nodes, the early game is really tedious. I would like the mode to become permanent, if they can fix that.

    Crab level is a great example of something you missed. Try to check corners of maps, why? There might be bushes to destroy.. i noticed this gives herbs to get added effects to crafted food. On top of that they usually hide a path to a treasure chest on some maps when destroyed gives a bunch of resources. (PSA: was top left path on that map).

    Would appreciate it if you somehow managed to document where the escape routes are. They're a pain to find.
    A tip for finding harvestable resources: Hold an operator as if you were going to deploy it. Look around the map for ground tiles that aren't deployable despite being the same as the other deployable tiles. This usually means there is something there that can be harvested: resources, even treasure.
    There are also hidden areas in some maps that aren't immediately accessible and usually require an obstacle to be destroyed in order to be accessed. This could be destroyable terrain, or a single powerful enemy in an out of the way spot. The zone descriptions usually hint at these being present, as well as large empty sections on the map that seem fishy. I remember there is one zone that has a redblade (game calls them tiachauh warrior, but that's just flavor and not actual Tiachauh Warrior) in a very out of the way spot which, when defeated, opens the wall behind it that has some piles of gold and treasure.

      @Eckogen  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Is that the big Golem rock things? By that point, hopefully you can funnel them. You could try Ethan S2 for binding RNG or something to slow/weaken like Suzuran S3. But you will need a ranged tile for that.

    • @Az_Sainklaus
      @Az_Sainklaus ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Eckogen Thank you for the reply!
      Yes, its those Mineral golems with reflect damages.
      Suzuran works, but anyone else damaging them(especially the red one) will just dies from the reflect damage.
      Some other few guides I saw, they suggested using Surtr + medics, since she can kill them 1 by 1 before they stacked up(since they have slow walking speed)
      But without Surtr, I usually uses Reed(medic), but as you said I will need a ranged tile for that.
      When they are invading, 10 red one are approaching and its a bit overwhelming.
      I will wait for your base guide, maybe some invasion was meant to defense at the Headquarters.
