This was legit the best page I have ever seen in my entire life. I will never regret listening to Horsechestra or this page on repeat ever. This is all I've ever needed to see in my life.
I feel like a lot of people sort of, undersell the significance of this moment. So let me share my thoughts. Right off the bat, THIS is the ONLY moment in the entirety of HS where we can see Gamzee WILLINGLY shedding tears. Maybe he's in some kind of pain? But the point is, it's not physical like getting shot or beaten by Caliborn, or being thrown in a fridge. This is an entirely emotional response from him. As to why? I don't think we will EVER get a definitive answer, from Hussie or anybody else. It could be that he was witnessing the birth of a part of LE, which is what all of his life is all about, so it's a religious moment for him. Or maybe a momentary lapse of clarity took over his brain, and Gamzee realized what he had done to Equius in the past. Or perhaps he's just so MOVED by the MAJESTY of ARquius that he couldn't help himself. Whatever the reason may be, the point I'm trying to make here, is that nobody was forcing him to do this. Which is a big deal because who knows how many beings are pulling his strings for what causes. Gamzee's mindscape is a maze full of cosmic beings/mindcontrolling dead ghosts/megalomaniacal alien children/other omnipotent beings trying to wrestle control of his body and the things he does. In ADDITION to having brainrot problems due to sopor abuse, potentially his abandonment issues with his goatdad, and a whooole lot of other stuff that his fans keep reaching for, regardless of their actual basis in canon. But EVEN with ALL of this bullshit, he was still moved so much, by this ONE moment, that effectively, he broke free from them, ONLY for this moment. At least that's how I see it. And I think that is some truly powerful stuff.
While Yes this is an importart moment for Gamzee's Character and that's a fact, i think this Moment is even more important to Equius and Hal Characters. Arquiusprite is nowdays one of my favorite characters of Homestuck cause he is simply a fantastic way to Give Hal a Body he loves and Make Equius Feel Good with himself and Truly Happy for once. Arquiusprite should be treated indeed as it's own character yes but I can't not see the general meaning of his existence for his componenets. Also i like to think that Gamzee is Crying cause he finally made Equius Smile and that would have been the greatest miracle he ever witnessed

No, Equiusprite was before the Auto Responder was prototyped. Since then canon has always been referring to this Sprite as Arquiusprite, like in the dialogues with Dirk and the other B2 Sprites.
He is capricious. This means he is unpredictable. Plus he was only harmless when he was stoned. When Dave sent him that video of ICP, he viewed it as blasphemy, this is ontop of him running out of sopor slime pies and sobering up, showing his true nature as the descendant of the High Subjugglator. Very violent, murderous, plus he had no Moirail at the time to calm him down. He is probably crying in the video because of his capricious nature. aka he did it for no understandable reason.

He could have started eating it knowing it calmed down the minds of the trolls when they slept, so it might calm him down when awake too if he ate it.
