Exactly like Blue said. I pass through a USB device during adding extra storage at point 1:21 of the video. I have had that setup for well over a year without issue.
Then I have to take a look at it myself first. Do you have any thoughts about how to set it up, like on Docker or directly? Personally, I use Docker running on a VM for a bunch of things and think I would set it up there.
Please tell me. If some software is installed in docker, then how do I control the CPU and ram consumption in proxmox? I mean, if I have a lot of programs, then it's better for me to install an ubuntu virtual machine, and into it docker and docker compos. Or is it better to put each individual program in docker, but using proxmox containers? I have little understanding of the specifics and structure of proxmox. I know that this is debian with a proxmox shell, so you can use docker outside of proxmox, but how good is that idea?
There are 3 ways i see running this on Proxmox (maybe more i don't know about) 1: Setup an Ubuntu server or equivalent and setup docker on that VM. this is the way i prefer to do it because of networking for docker. 2: Setup a Linux container and then Docker on that. It works but you might run into some networking trouble. 3: Install Docker alongside Proxmox. this can save you resources but you can get problems with networking and harder to backup your container data. But my tip is going with option 1 and then installing Docker and Docker compose then run Portainer as your first container. Portainer is great for managing all your containers in a clean and clear user interface. Then you will run all your container programs on that one server. Please tell me. Would it be a bad idea to use TrueNAS in proxmox? In general, you can have a little theory. OMV and TrueNAS are operating systems, maybe it's better to install them separately from proxmox? How safe is it to use a NAS in a hypervisor in terms of secure file storage? For example, I have a proxmox on an ssd, and two disks (hdd) as raid 1. Is it better to connect them to proxmox and create space for the OS (NAS) there, or is it better to throw the disks directly into the OS (nas)? I am worried that if I store a lot of files, there may be a situation when one of the disks breaks, then what should I do in such a situation? If I have a ride 1, then I just change the disk and move on, and nothing will change in operation?
TrueNAS should work without issue, depending on your machine. For it to work in a good and safe way, you should have the ability for it to pass through pcie. I would pass the disks through directly and not set them up in Proxmox first. I did have TrueNAS up and running on Proxmox a while back, but it was something I was just trying to use as an nfs share for a Raspberry Pi cluster I set up a good while back. I can try to look into it a bit more, but firstly I have some other things I want to do. One of which is setting up my home and away lab containing one mili pc and a raspberry as an access point.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
Hello! I am really sorry this took such a long time. Seems youtube flags messages with ip addresses, and I had no clue messages was flaged. Did you find a solution?
It won't allow you to assign a 32 bit mask because it wouldn't be able to communicate with anything else as that would jut be a single host subnet. Your public IP address is part of a subnet. Just use the same subnet mask as the public block. A /32 bit is used for testing and other circumstances but not for what you are trying to do. It's basically invalid. To confirm, just use 255.255.255.252 which is a /30 with two usable hosts. But if your public block is a /24, use that so it can communicate out. It has to have a gateway of an IP on the same subnet to work.
