Found my old Rocket collection this year and it brought so much nostalgia; loving collecting again with my 6 year old son to see his face light up every shiny or full art 😍 plus 151 was perfect timing, I love the OGs.

I enjoy collecting pokemon cards because though all the ups and downs of life it’s something, like music, that always finds a way to bring a smile. I sold my old collection over 5 years ago to afford being able to get my first apartment with my gf (now fiancé) . On Pokémon day this year I decided to stop and buy a paldean fates booster bundle from GameStop on the way home from work one evening and opening those packs, showing her the mew and Charizard SIRs to pull, and then MAGICALLY pulling the mew was such a nostalgic feeling. She saw that my eyes “light” in shock and she completely understands how fun whether you’re pulling something shiny and amazing or just ripping open packs to bring you back to a simpler time is. Keep up the content man. Your setups aesthetic is a vibe man 👍

I got into Pokémon when I saw my uncle playing Pokémon red on his Gameboy, he let me play to try it out and I was hooked since then. I didn’t get into Pokémon tcg until 2019 when a random video of Leonhart popped up on my feed and I watched the joy it brought him and it made me feel like I was 8 again.
When I was eight, my best friend moved away to Europe from the states because of his parent’s job without being able to say goodbye. The day after, I found a Pokémon card he left under my bed as he was very into collecting while I was only buying a couple packs here and there. After that, I started collecting Pokémon cards, with each time I opened a new pack reminding me of him. As time went on, my collection grew whilst being full of memories and the friendship I missed.
I'm an artist as a hobby so I have always been very obsessed and intrigued with the art on the cards (my chase lists always have common cards too because of the art). Always been a very big Pokémon lover too and I probably carry a collector gene of some sort since I have always liked collecting stuff.
I love collecting because I love Pokemon and because I’m a fan of these amazing artworks and illustrators that bring life to the Pokemon and each with their unique styles. I always get excited even for the commons cards. The art is too good! Nothing better than looking at an amazing binder page full of cards that you love and arranged in whatever way I want 😍 it’s beautiful
151 got me back into the hobby, so cool to see new full arts and creativity 20 years later: I honestly hope they make a new Pokemon tcg game on switch like they had on the Gameboy Color
I love collecting for a few reasons. First, my family wasn't financially able to buy a lot of pokemon cards when I was a kid so it's dangerous now that I am older and have disposable income to relive that dream. Second, it's a great escape from the day-to-day grind as well as everything that is happening in the world. Thirdly, it's such a great community to be a part of and see how everyone experiences the hobby!
I love opening 151 because I know all the pokemon. I haven’t kept up with all the newer generations, it’s hard to enjoy other sets as much when I don’t know half the pokemon

Pokemon card collecting and investing helped me get out of one of the darkest periods of my life. Just like Phil i had the same kind of responsibilities while going through depression. Educating myself on sets and making plays on singles gave me a spark of light in moment where everything was quite dark. It gave me strength and escapism. I will forever be grateful that pokemon exists and that the hobby is currently growing.

Just started collecting and one reason I really like this hobby is because it feels productive. I'm no an alcoholic, but I have been getting a lot of weight recently and garb the occasional beer. Now I make myself choose only 1 of the two; between grabbing a cold one or a booster pack. Recently I've picked the Booster pack every time and it's just a little something I can look forward to every day now and something that builds up over time as a reward for spending my money on something with more value. Outside of that, I just really like the art and reconnecting with my childhood, what's not to like?
I used to go to the local market to buy cards when I was a kid. Got to open Base Set packs when they were 5 bucks a pack 😅 They were the first items I ever collected. I can't wait to be able to share that experience with my own kids!

Collecting pokemon cards is relatively new to me (usually collected yugioh) but what makes it great is the variety of arts that make it nice collecting.
I used to take my kids out pokemon hunting when they were young, so I love collecting pokemon now that my kids have grown because it brings back so many awesome fun memories!!! Venusaur was my first favorite pokemon now I love many of them especially the art rares.
recently got into the collection journey when I saw the Greninja promo from Shrouded Fable, the ukiyo-e art style looks so awesome! I started off the collection with SV 151, hoping to complete the Base Set cause of the nostalgia, and the artwork for the cards are all so beautiful!
As a kid I played pokemon tcg even a couple tournaments, I played the gb game and knew the names of all pokemon. I love the illustrations and now collect for nostalgia, even a card considered cheap has a place in my collection and memories!
I always enjoyed collecting things. Starting with toys (pokemon figure that I have nowadays) to games and even instruments (I play bass). What I love about pokemon cards is to be able to see my favorite pokemon interact with their environment, trainers and other pokemon, in a way Sometimes superior than what the games do

I just recently got back into collecting after finishing college. It’s been almost 10 years and I am so happy to have started again. I love the cards art work and seeing my favorite Pokemon displayed in new ways. Collecting and displaying my collection brings me joy and peace.
This is my set of Pokemon ever. The masterballs are going to make mastering this set a challenge which I'm going to try and do. Also when you don't speak the language it draws your eye to the artwork and gives it a whole new direction and appreciation.
as a kid I was a big fan back in xy era but I'm back now and its been tons of fun going to the Pokemon leagues and actually playing the tcg they give you prize packs too so you get your pack cracking fix
I collect Pokemon for the artwork. It’s come far from when I’ve started collecting as a child in 2000. I just started collecting again just 1 year ago.
I started when I was 4, and I have gotten into the games, the cards, and more! I love Pokémon so much, I never really had that much luck until SV the cards I have pulled just look so cool. I love Collecting, I even have top load card binders. And I have also gotten back into actually playing the card game. On Christmas I pulled the 151 Charizard out it the mew premium collection, and I have recorded most of my early ETB openings, over time I have just learned how much Pokémon means to me and I could see myself buying packs for the rest of my life!
The pokemon themself! I always liked the games, all of them I have played. And heard about Pokemon cards during the boom and I jumped in when Celebrations came out. I had so much fun with this set. And still today I managed to understand better what I enjoy collecting and what I want less, by trying things and learning from mistakes. I really love my cards to be in binder, I have not much graded cards because I feel if it is graded, it means something special to me that has to be displayed. Also all the sealed stuff that I collect, has to be products that I really enjoyed opening that I might what to enjoy again later on. Btw, your videos are on point. You have a nice way of thinking about the hobby and I recommand your videos hands up 🙌🔥

Currently getting back into the hobby because my son is very interested since all the new shows and movies. Now I’m hooked in for the fun.

I always enjoyed collecting things. Starting with toys (pokemon figure that I have nowadays) to games and even instruments (I play bass).
What I love about pokemon cards is to be able to see my favorite pokemon interact with their environment, trainers and other pokemon, in a way Sometimes superior than what the games do

You should do more openings. Really enjoyed this! I’ve opened quite a few boxes and I have set nearly complete. Biggest pull was Gengar masterball!

This is my set of Pokemon ever. The masterballs are going to make mastering this set a challenge which I'm going to try and do. Also when you don't speak the language it draws your eye to the artwork and gives it a whole new direction and appreciation.
Probably to recreate the best and happiest times of my life. And love the new illustrations and full arts, something we didn’t had in the past.
as a kid I was a big fan back in xy era but I'm back now and its been tons of fun going to the Pokemon leagues and actually playing the tcg they give you prize packs too so you get your pack cracking fix

I collect Pokemon for the artwork. It’s come far from when I’ve started collecting as a child in 2000. I just started collecting again just 1 year ago.
I started when I was 4, and I have gotten into the games, the cards, and more! I love Pokémon so much, I never really had that much luck until SV the cards I have pulled just look so cool. I love Collecting, I even have top load card binders. And I have also gotten back into actually playing the card game. On Christmas I pulled the 151 Charizard out it the mew premium collection, and I have recorded most of my early ETB openings, over time I have just learned how much Pokémon means to me and I could see myself buying packs for the rest of my life!
The pokemon themself! I always liked the games, all of them I have played. And heard about Pokemon cards during the boom and I jumped in when Celebrations came out. I had so much fun with this set. And still today I managed to understand better what I enjoy collecting and what I want less, by trying things and learning from mistakes. I really love my cards to be in binder, I have not much graded cards because I feel if it is graded, it means something special to me that has to be displayed. Also all the sealed stuff that I collect, has to be products that I really enjoyed opening that I might what to enjoy again later on.

Its the sense of my childhood coming back that makes me love the cards. I know this might sound weird but the smell of fresh cards takes me back and i love it

I like collecting pokemon cards for the nostalgia factor. Plus, when i was a kid, we couldn't afford to buy tons of packs or buy rare cards. So, now that I'm 30 years old, i can buy nice modern art cards, and actually grow my collection:)

I just recently got into collecting Pokémon cards again. A father of two little girls my oldest which is 10 share the same love for Pokémon. We finished watching Pokémon indigo and she seen the kid side to her father which created a special bond between us. We’re now collecting Pokémon together.
