SOOO confusing! Am a couple weeks into beginning Keto (and no cheating) and have most of these symtoms EXCEPT constipation! I have diarrea! So if I take more magnesium, that will make my stools pure liquid! (and yes, I have upped my potassium to around 6,000mg a day by crushing tablets in to powder)

As a hospital based physician, I’m always ridiculed for being the “Mag Man” because the acutely ill are usually severely deficient in Mag, and phosphorus as well (get made fun of for that too). And that’s only because I bother to even check intravascular levels, knowing full well the complex nature of intracellular mechanisms. The refractory nature of insulin insensitivity, myocardial irritability, weakness, fatigue, medication effects, neurologic disease including seizures, migraines, etc are acutely important to address and prevent as well as other daily and chronic assessments and treatments. Right on!

Danny C.hannel Yes. We are built to move...just from a biomechanical vantage point our limbs attached to a core that stabilizes for a variety of motion. It’s also important to understand the effects of not moving and Osteopathic Manipulative / NeuroMusculoSkeletal Medicine (OMM/NMM) and Advanced Biostructural Correction (ABC) are important on a very complex neural integration level to organize physiological responses that use these supplements and other dietary support plans for full health. I take care of acute worsening and the end results of dysfunctions of that and am forced to contemplate about why and how. Most don’t use the time they have to reflect but we need to. I am a physician/surgeon and I love listening to your videos. I can testify to my own magnesium deficiency: sleeplessness, muscle weakness, heart palpitations, hypertension (on meds), stress issues. Adding a high quality absorbable magnesium supplement along with juicing high Mg and K fruits/vegetables has made for huge improvements in my symptoms. If I go a few days without these, symptoms start to return. I now preach this to my patients. Wish medical schools would spend more time on nutrition. I am also a huge fan of liposomal vitamin C. Keep the videos coming.

I am surprised how doctors and surgeons don’t tell you these things or they don’t know🤷🏾‍♀️I have up coming surgery and was told to take vitamin D due to deficiency, sorry I didn’t do my research earlier before I start taking the supplement. I had to research and found out all by myself that vitamin D works hand in hand with magnesium. Why no one told me this? My primary did EKG and said my pulse was 112 bpm and asking me what’s going on? guess what he recommended? metoprolol!!! mind you my blood pressure is 117/79, why would you put me on that drug with normal blood pressure readings and not mention magnesium?? it’s sad.... I can’t put my faith in you all.
Updated: since taking magnesium my heart rate been around 80 bpm, glad I did not take metroprolol🙌 Guys DONT be quick to take these drugs if it is not necessary

I had heart arrhythmias AKA skipping beats, I could barely get up in the morning because of my joints and muscles had pains and were weak, I was severely bloated and swelled with fluid, I was stressed and had cramps. Then one day I had a twitch in my eye that wouldn't go away. Knowing about health food since the 70s I decided to look up the symptom and found it was magnesium. I bought some magnesium citrate powder at Walmart and took a heaping teaspoon everyday for a month. All the swelling left me because I was urinating like unbelievable. No more heart skipping beats and my blood pressure went down to normal. When I woke up I would leap up out of bed and had energy like I hadn't in years. As soon as I get more money I'm going to buy more supplements and I'm going to be one of the healthiest 60-year-old men around. Thank you for this video and keep continuing to inform people that want to know how to be healthy.

NEUROLOGICAL CONNECTION: Recently diagnosed with severe magnesium deficiency. Yes, orthostatic BP issues, low Vit D, sleeplessness, muscle and joint problems. The one symptom that I haven't seen here is severe neurological problems. Oh my God it was a aweful feeling no doctor ever checked my magnesium. All the neurologists would look at me and shake their heads. I went to the ER they gave me tablets for vertigo and sent me home. Went to a new doctor last Monday, he was alarmed by the low mag levels, he stated, " I haven't seen MG this low in 30yrs. He gave me 2 bags of magnesium IV immediately and a script MG and Vitamin D. It's been 10 days and I feel amazing, much more energy.

I had so many symptoms of low magnesium for the past few years. Fatigue, muscle cramps, weakness, trouble sleeping, heart palpitations, migraines, constipation, trouble managing blood pressure, nausea and loss of appetite.
My primary care physician attributed the symptoms to perimenopause, deconditioning, and poor lifestyle habits. But none of the changes she suggested helped much.
Last month I had to go to the ER for elevated heart rate and heart palpitations that wouldn't stop, and one of the first things they did was to check my magnesium. It was very low. They gave me IV magnesium in the ER and admitted me for some further testing and observation and gave me more IV magnesium while I was there, then suggested that I start taking a magnesium supplement when I was discharged.
I'm starting to feel an improvement. My heart palpitations are happening less often, blood pressure is more stable, and migraines are less severe and happening less often. I haven't seen much improvement in the other symptoms yet, but I've only been taking the supplements for a few weeks.

Justine DeVoe, it’s not recommended because it interferes with the balance of iron and copper. Leading to an excess of iron. There is magnesium glycinate, malate, orotate and threonate that are much better quality. Or the cheaper magnesium chloride.

I, myself have lost 15 lbs. in three weeks and I'm back in the gym.
