Hi, if we want to use addressable RGB LEDs , we must go with APA102, since other variants such as ws2812 are too slow for this application. But the APA102 are too expensive so we decided not to use it. And if we opt for non addressable RGB LEDs , they will need dedicated RGB drivers, which are also expensive.

Nice project. I think this could be even better if you would have used rgb leds instead. We can create 3D hologram with this.
