From a current fedex worker, im glad to hear Nemesio has been able to get new career. Im currently enrolled in cybersecurity, hoping that I can score an internship at least
@@WithSandra, I currently work for a commercial real estate & property management company as Workplace Services Coordinator where I'm responsible for provisioning and deprovisioning credential access for over 400+ tenants using on-premise and cloud-based physical access control systems, logs/event tracking. I also help set up AV systems and connect tenants devices to wifi/internet for meetings, work order &property management systems, video/surveillance systems etc. With these skills and experiences, what will be your suggestion for an IT/ Cybersecurity areas to go into?
It's not hard to get an IT job. I live in a state surrounded by the Department of Defense and Air Force Materiel Command (aka government jobs), and they’re always hiring. The starting pay ranges from $86k to $114k per year. I'm telling you, all they ask for to get the job is a CompTIA Security+ certification.
You must be in an exceptional area then. I've got a Sec+ and a Master's in Cyber. I can't seem to get anything higher than teaching at a jr. college. I live in an area surrounded by government jobs, but those are so competitive right now.
Loveddddd this interview ! Thank you guys!🎉 Seeing this is so motivational! I hope some of that drive and tenacity sticks to me. There are some definite gems in this interview that I will be incorporating into my personal learning and how I go about getting my first job in IT and then cyber security ! ❤
Thanks so much!! I also learned a lot just from his interview prep process and what to do when you hear a an interview question you dont know the answer to. Some awesome advice there
I'm in Josh's CS course.. I'm currently in the intern process.. Thought this vid was interesting.. Was kinda shocked duded used his homies CV.. lol.. I'm in Florida too.. 1hr east of Orlando
Do you have lots of technical projects on your resume? I will say that coding is very competitive, I feel really bad for all the Compsci majors out there rn, I'm seeing a lot of people not able to find jobs after graduating, its pretty crazy. Keep working on technical projects and getting those updated on your resume and keep applying. Its still peak hiring season rn. Wishing you the best of luck!
interesting in two weeks is insane to get job offers because ive been having bad luck in NYC to get a job as IT helpdesk analyst and my resume look good enough to work in entry level but many jobs want people at different level of experience.

@WithSandra what do you think of transitioning from Nursing to Cybersecurity? Also, what's your recommendation on how to make this dream happen?
This was a great one on one conversation!
TCM Security launched a free practical hands on help desk course. Great alternative compared to course careers
Thanks for sharing!! TCM is awesome
Great! Thank you for the morale boost that it can be done. Congratulations Nemesio.
Did he take the Information Technology or the Cybersecurity?
Thanks for making these videos, I've been getting a lot out of your content!
Thank you for this interview session
NP! So many awesome gems from this interview, especially with how to navigate when to answer an interview question you don’t know. This is key 🙌

The perfect springboard for a career in cybersecurity or cloud security and you don’t have to do IT work for very long.

@WithSandra SMH 🫤 I'm so torn.....
I did a coding bootcamp with springboard and got nowhere 😔
Coding right now is ROUGHH. like the worst branch of tech for hiring rn

No I haven’t done much projects I want to transition to cybersecurity though hopefully that works out for me.
@@Thiccolo 1+ I'm on a full reverse path with web dev right now, currently looking at options with IT instead and looks like a safer path.
@@ro5298 Nice, do you have any specific role you're aiming for? Cloud jobs are big right now, maybe DevOps could be something you're good at?
Great interview! Quick question: How would you show your projects on a resume?
Sandra we need chapters!!!
