You should at lease increase the font sizes and may be use some type of step-wise presentation. The scenario you presented would have been much more helpful in my particular instance, if I had to guess less about the purpose and what you were really doing. it always worked perfectly for me... what system and hardware you on? I've never had issues on Fedora with wayland gnome shell, AMD graphics.
