The blue brickwork is stunning and a good splash of colour to a fairly neutral plaza. As for the lighting I don’t think they’d go to all that trouble just for that fairly underwhelming blue spotlight. My only other criticism of an amazing looking build is the safety fence on the roof seriously detracts from the effect of the curve meeting the sky. With all the safety lines they have in place I fail to see why it’s needed.
Because Goodison’s capacity cannot be increased, there are 35,000 on the season ticket waiting list, there are numerous pillars blocking views, the hospitality is limited, and the old stadium stops the club increasing its revenue. We have to move.
Brilliant , well done good information
Thanks Peter much appreciated 👍
Great video and commentary, 👍
Thanks @my-blue-soul much appreciated 👍
It was good to see the Mk 1 boot being deployed 😀
Very impressive 🏴🇬🇧
Thanks @theboydr it will be an amazing stadium in a prime location for the city. Cheers👍

Thanks Martin much appreciated 👍
Tremendous video of record.
Thanks Henry much appreciated 👍
Grass fleece covering which help keep the soil wet and let water through, in 12 days time that will be covered in grass imo.
Sounds good Gareth and close to seeing grass on the pitch!! Cheers👍
Do they have to put soil on top of that covering now?
@@paulhewitt6614 No that's just to protect the seeds from Birds.
It’s to stop pigeons eating the grass seed, but also increases humidity/temperature to create ideal conditions for germination
Looking at the lights at night, I can see the stadium being nicknamed ‘the blue cauldron’ or the cauldron is alight.

River of light started yesterday, I reckon that's maybe why they put lights on
The lights have been on for a few days now. They are testing them getting ready for the big handover.
Wouldnt want to be the one to roll them sheets back up
No John me either😂, the size of them! No wonder the guy rested on it at the end of rolling it out🤣🤣 cheers 👍
Probably wrong, but i thought the grass grows through it and it decomposes naturally.

IVY LANE EAFC25. Why do Everton even need a new stadium,
A city the size of Liverpool deserves at least one magnificent football stadium. Now it has one.
