Also, New Years is very popular over there (far more than Christmas. They refer to the tree as a New Years tree)...lol and there’s a film called “The Irony of Fate”...I believe if you search it like that in English you can find the subtitled film here on TH-cam. To give you an idea...it’s the equivalent of Home Alone - a film that is popular around the holiday season. It’s a Soviet film still very popular that takes jabs at certain aspects of living life during soviet times...it’s obviously set during the New Years holiday.

Maybe a particular state in the U.S. - California would be a good one. Huge coastline, lots of heavily populated cities, huge economy, etc. all on its own. Plenty of landmarks as well.

Holy crap, 12C is honestly laughably warm! Here in Kentucky in the US today for example it was -1C for a lot of the day and I still only had on a light hoodie and jeans. We are so accustomed to this type of winter, that when it gets to the peak cold (-17 to -18C) we have stocked up on warm clothes and its not a big deal. Could not imagine siberia where it would routinely hit like -30C or something!
If you are keen to make more videos like this, you could try drawing a map of Greece. It would be challenging with all those islands and jagged coastlines.
i was thinking about sth interesting you can make about Australia which you haven't done before, and i remembered 2 episodes of crocodile hunter by the late Steve Irwin, about non-native animals in Australia. It could be interesting if you show some photos for those animals and talk briefly about their history in Australia: why the English brought rabbits and deer...etc. Hope you find that easy to research and do :)

I really love your videos, you're really one of my absolute top ASMRtists. But could I offer just one small piece of advice: Every now and again you butcher some of the less common names, and it's a bit jarring amid all the delicious tingles. Like Okhotsk (not Oknotsk) or Kazakhstan (not Kazakistan). Maybe a quick Wikipedia/TH-cam check for how to say them right? They're probably only a handful of places per map...
No, I have a map out of camera shot that I'm looking at and drawing these maps freehand. I did trace the USA and Canadian maps in past videos, but these were the only ones.
