Thats the speech from a Charlie chaplain movie. The great dictator. Was supposed to be an anti-nazi speech. Was the first time most people had heard him speak in a movie.
Damn... All I can imagine is this shit in concert.. Standing next to the speakers, feeling that drop physically through your blood. Lights everywhere, people dancing.. One can only dream
"The power of one man doesn't amount to much. But, however little strength I'm capable of... I'll do everything humanly possible to protect the people I love, and in turn they'll protect the ones they love. It seems like the least we tiny humans can do for each other." - Roy Mustang

I'm sorry but I don't want to be an Emperor - that's not my business - I don't want to rule or conquer anyone. I should like to help everyone if possible, Jew, gentile, black man, white. We all want to help one another, human beings are like that. We all want to live by each other's happiness, not by each other's misery. We don't want to hate and despise one another. In this world there is room for everyone and the earth is rich and can provide for everyone. The way of life can be free and beautiful. But we have lost the way. Greed has poisoned men's souls - has barricaded the world with hate; has goose-stepped us into misery and bloodshed. We have developed speed but we have shut ourselves in: machinery that gives abundance has left us in want. Our knowledge has made us cynical, our cleverness hard and unkind. We think too much and feel too little: More than machinery we need humanity; More than cleverness we need kindness and gentleness. Without these qualities, life will be violent and all will be lost.
This song was on NCS and i just ate that shit up. I loved this song and listening to it. It brings back nostalgia from when I was first discovering Dubstep and edm.
In a world full of emotionless music coming from money grabbing pop artists, we are incredibly lucky to stumble upon such an enormous assortment of truly great music. Mr. Sheepy, thank you for sharing this amazing music with us.
Soldiers: The people that risk their life for us in a pointless game of slaughter. We should be proud of our soldiers and our countries. No matter where you live.
+PxCalling The fact that they are protecting those they care about is what they are proud of, not that they are playing a pointless "Game of manslaughter" or whatever you want to call it.
Sephiroth Light protecting those, from what? And ho exacly protecting? Becouse if you took your patriotic eyes out of your ass, you will see that they are protecting banckers, and protecting a oil drill, They kill many inocent for no reasen then oil, yet we want to call it a heroic sacrifice?
Kvin Cast And if you took your liberal eyes out of your ass (and it might help to put on some glasses too while your at it, because you have a lot of grammar and spelling errors), you would have noticed that I said they defend the people they care about, which would mean their family, friends, etc. Anyone with half a brain would realize that a soldier doesn't join the military because they are protecting the oil drills or banks, they defend their family, and country from foreign invasion, ISIS, and any other form of terrorism. Also, your last statement "They kill many inocent for no reasen then oil, yet we want to call it a heroic sacrifice?" makes no sense, please further educate yourself in the English language before you talk smack American patriotism; that way people can know what you are trying to establish.
The soldier himself joins the army, not to conquer, but to protect his family, that is the choice they make, they don't fight for the government, they don't get drafted (unless it is in a time of war), so when they go in, most of them go in to protect their family, and sever their country, that is *their reason* for joining the military. The military itself commands them and tells them what to do, whether it be attack, establish a base, or retreat. I've never heard of soldiers killing innocent civilians. When they do invade another country, it is usually one that is at war on the US (Like Germany in WWII), they invade countries like Iraq because of terrorist cells (Like ISIS) that threaten the US. The family may not carry pride, and I never even said that they did. The soldier carries pride because he is (or he thinks he is) protecting and serving his country. I only criticized your grammar because I can't take anyone seriously when they have poor spelling and grammar.
setting alone while the city dreams writing about the brightest experience i've ever had with this song as a background, such an inspiration to my soul!
I just don't understand how people can dislike this. How can you dislike something so beautiful. Is it because you do not understand? Is it because your ignorance blinds you from everything he's saying? Every point he's making. I know the audio is from a movie but his words are just so on point. It's amazing how powerful we can be with a moving speech.
Here's the entire speech if you're curious: Hope... I'm sorry but I don't want to be an Emperor - that's not my business - I don't want to rule or conquer anyone. I should like to help everyone if possible, Jew, gentile, black man, white. We all want to help one another, human beings are like that. The aeroplane and the radio have brought us closer together. The very nature of these inventions cries out for the goodness in men, cries out for universal brotherhood for the unity of us all. Even now my voice is reaching millions throughout the world, millions of despairing men, women and little children, victims of a system that makes men torture and imprison innocent people. To those who can hear me I say "Do not despair". The misery that is now upon us is but the passing of greed, the bitterness of men who fear the way of human progress: the hate of men will pass and dictators die and the power they took from the people, will return to the people and so long as men die [now] liberty will never perish... Soldiers - don't give yourselves to brutes, Men who despise you and enslave you - who regiment your lives, tell you what to do, what to think and what to feel, who drill you, diet you, treat you as cattle, use you as cannon fodder! Don't give yourselves to these unnatural men, machine men! With machine minds and machine hearts! You are not machines! You are not cattle! You are men. You have the love of humanity in your hearts. You don't hate - only the unloved hate. Only the unloved and the unnatural. Soldiers - don't fight for slavery, fight for liberty. In the seventeenth chapter of Saint Luke it is written " the kingdom of God is within man " - not one man, nor a group of men - but in all men - in you, the people. You the people have the power, the power to create machines, the power to create happiness. You the people have the power to make life free and beautiful, to make this life a wonderful adventure. Then in the name of democracy let's use that power - let us all unite. Let us fight for a new world, a decent world that will give men a chance to work, that will give you the future and old age and security. By the promise of these things, brutes have risen to power, but they lie. They do not fulfil their promise, they never will. Dictators free themselves but they enslave the people. Now let us fight to fulfil that promise. Let us fight to free the world, to do away with national barriers, do away with greed, with hate and intolerance. Let us fight for a world of reason, a world where science and progress will lead to all men's happiness. Soldiers - in the name of democracy, let us all unite!

I like how at the begining he speaks loudly, and how the sounds of the beats drown him out as if he wasn't important, then when trouble comes to show... He was right and his voice becomes louder then it was.
the speech is so amazing and inspiring, even tho it did get used on a few uploads on sheepy's channel, but the more that hear that speech, maybe more people will change
