    If only? This is the best yacht I've seen in a long while. Shallow draft to go to the Bahamas is wonderful! Thank you for a wonderful tour.

      18 knots is pretty fast for a yacht. 12 knots cruising is perfectly average.

    Built in 2012, her asking price is $38m. That's a tic high for a 10 year old Trinity.

      Managed to sell it anyway. There is a high demand for big yachts right now and very few on the market.

    Because I don't know.....Why is it not for sale to US residents while in US waters? Is it because of the registry being outside the US ? My boat fits on a trailer so I don't know. LOL

      Hmm I was actually curious about that also, this should be sold to the US residents it lovely, but never found a real seller..

      I don't know fully (and David Seal from *"Yachts for Sale"* is going to do a video on it soon), but essentially it's because no taxes were paid to the US during the sale. If you were a US citizen and wanted to purchase it, you'd either have to purchase it in international waters, another country, or pay a huge amount of taxes on it to the US. (Taxes were paid, just not to the US.)

      @@grondhero Thanks Kirby. That's interesting. I often see where sales say Not to be sold in the US. Figures it was tax related. We pay a Personal Property tax yearly on the value of our boat as well as any RV etc that you own. Taxes make the world go round. (Keeps me broke!!).

      Big yacht owners generally establish a corporation in the Cayman islands, and purchase the yacht through that corporation. These are technically commercial vessels. So it is all legal and nothing really shady about it. There are some tax savings. But it is mostly a practical matter of it being much easier and much much faster to do it that way as opposed to the American process.

    Why does this yacht need 19 crew members??? If I owned this yacht, I would cut them down to 6 or 7......most important people being the Captain, Engineer, Chef and first officer

    • @kokomo9764
      @kokomo9764 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      It is a 60 mtr yacht. You would not be able to maintain this yacht with 6 or 7 crew. That would be ludicrous. Who is going to do the interior and exterior cleaning? Who is going to cook? Line handling? If you cannot afford to properly crew this yacht you shouldn't buy it. Obviously you know nothing about yachts.. Assuming you have $38 million to buy her you would be the type of owner who would destroy her in a couple of years.

    • @blest5132
      @blest5132 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kokomo9764 19 people is ludicrous, it's not a cruise ship, 2 people can clean up inside, 2 people clean outside AND they handle lines when they're not cleaning right? capt, first mate, 2 engineers , chef, 2 deckhands and a pair of cleaning ladies and what's that? 9 peeps? what the hell are the other 10 doing? "cleaning"? yeah, cleaning out your bank account.

      I get your comment was a joke....I've seen your comments on other videos. For those thinking he is serious and thinking 'Yeah, I agree with him!' Firstly, he knows it's not possible and is making a joke,, secondly, This is a nearly 200' yacht! You need a Captain, First Officer, Second Officer/Chief Mate, Chief engineer, second engineer, electronics engineer, Bosun, 3 deckhands, Head Chef, Crew Chef, Sous Chef, Purser, First stew, second stew, third stew and 2 laundry stews. The minimum you could cut the crew down to would be 12 or 11. You could eliminate a second Officer, electronics engineer, deckhand, sous chef. Purser(most first stews can fulfill this role with more training) and a laundry stew or 2. Ships this big need crews this big to make sure everything gets done. If you wanted to eliminate more crew such as more deckhands maybe or interior staff then you would be a boat that spent a lot of time in port and having a yacht management company and day workers coming to do a lot of work, but with berthing fees, management company fees and day worker wages plus you would be required to feed them in most cases, it would be cheaper to pay for the extra members to be crew members. A boat that only has 6 to 7 crew is usually a yacht under 130', but really a 112'- 120' would be where you would want to look. If you tried to have a boat this big and run it with a lower amount of crew, ironically you would have very few crew because nobody qualified would want to work for you. Just like yacht crew get reputations, so do boats. You would manage to get mostly green crew(who don't know anything and would be a safety risk, plus wreck your yacht really bad) and maybe some with more experience, but those would be the crew that nobody else wanted to hire. You would also be hiring them yourself because a captain wouldn't work for you, or would work for you but not ever take you anywhere because you would fail to have the proper number of crew needed for him to SAFELY take the vessel out to sea. But again, if you just wanted to go out for a weekend and then come back, he might let you do it with 7 or 8 crew, but you would also be limited to 5 or 6 guests on board including yourself.
