One way to get a cosine window with extra padding is a phase distorted cosine, where you do a little wave shaping/clipping on the phasor so that it hangs on zero at the beginning and end, using that to drive your cosine window.

Dear Polarity, this is such an off-topic question, but it's been bothering me... So, I use VCV Rack in Bitwig, routing the 8 stereo channels to different audio tracks. All is good. However, when I use i.e. a Tool to adjust the gain on one of the audio channels, the adjustment isn't reflected in the channel/track db/level meter... it still just shows the incoming audio level... Am I completely missing something? Or do you know a way around this? Thanks for you wonderfully awesome videos and music.

Why don't you use two crossfading delays for pitch shifting? While one is switching it is muted, but the other is fully heard and vice versa. I also like using feedback on mod delays in this kind of pitch shifting setups.

You said the Mirror + Bend ducking method still has clicks, you think because the audio is being delayed so that the clicks don't line up with the ducking signal anymore, right? So what if you delayed the Mirror + Bend signal by the same amount as the audio signal? Shouldn't it then line up again?
haha yea i tried that, but its hard to align. it was easier with just one curve module and draw in where it should dip. but i will find the perfect method, let me cook :D

This is a strange comparison, but as an illustrator i would see this phenomion where people would draw/paint the same exact subject over and over again. It was a matter of pumping that content out rapid fire. I'd see no exporation or research for new ideas for concepts that they've not done before, or the means to try something differnt from what tbey know. Then there is the camp i come from. Everything i work on is always somethjng diffenet that i never tried before. Either because of past clients of mine, or I'm trying to convey a differnt type of story concept in my head. Or I just wanna get better at harder stuff.
So that's what Bitwig users are like. We want to come at this fresh each time, and to explore sound design concepts and musical experiments that aren't possible. The modulation and operators alone caused more inventive sounds than i ever made using other daws, even when i had no clue what was going on in Bitwig. I'm grown now. 😂😂
