Thank you for your videos!!!! Your explanations are so well explained. Just enough detail to grasp the concept. It helped me understand staining so much better for my microbiology class!
Thank you for this information. I appreciate that you explained all the three in one video. Make a lot of sense that way and it so easy to follow and understand.
Sir, i am medical student in India. i watched your staining videos, and also videos of biochemical analysis .. It was very much helpful for me. Thank You very much...!
Good evening Kevin Tuoff My name is Marcia Jacobs I would like to thank you for sharing your video on line. I watched your lecture on the Acid fast staining it was very beneficial and I anticipated a fantastic grade thanks to you and all Professors who made this possible. Thank you Marcia Jacobs
Great explanations for my microbiology class, thanks! Just a couple points - the narrator states he does not know where the term "acid-fast" comes from. It is used in the same sense we use the word "colorfast" to refer to fabric that resists fading. It refers to the fact that the bacteria will not decolorize even in the presence of acid. Also, on the endospore slide, the genus Clostridium is misspelled as Claustridium.
Catalyst University your videos have been very helpful to me. Thank you for making them. I have a question, what bacterial structure methylene blue turns turns red? Structure safes it energy to use for when it is needed.
