Maybe it's so because there wasn't a lot of food available in the middle ages. Many people died of hunger at this time. There is a german saying: "Iss, damit du groß und stark wirst." ("Eat, to became tall and strong"), which means, if you doesn't have enough food as a child, you stay small for the rest of your life.

3:18 - the intricate building facade
3:34 - the start of the water series until its end
3:55 - the odd object is an eye-catcher. What is it? A snail? Or simply a finial?
5:37 - the quack quacks in the stream. There must be a pond nearby.
5:46 - the bee which follows you everywhere.
    6:19 - A for effort
7:15 - the frog prince looking for Princess.
7:37 - at the top of the tower, the added feature for the terminally curious watching for danger
    10:23 & 10:53 - the high lights
And, as always, the doggie parade.

The raccoons were imported to Germany some time in the 1920s. IIRC it was only ONE pair of racoons. Either they were released on purpose or escaped. Either way they spread from around the Kassel area throughout Germany (and by now, possibly beyond). They have become an absolute pest in Germany as they have no natural predators, are absolutely unafraid of humans, are ridiculously good climbers, nimble, intelligent, and have even figured out how to open the large German trashcans.

If you are interessted in old Style Castles and other beautyful Places you have to come to Ludwigsburg in Baden Würthemberg. There you can visit many Places where you can chill and have a good time. There are 3 Castles , one of them you can have a guided tour " Residenzschloß" with a big Flowergarden ("Blühende Barock") close by, with a Fairytale "Garden" included (the "Märchengarten"). The other Castle "Schloß Favorite" has a medium sized "Park" (" Favorite Park") which is actually a small Forest. Through this Park you get to the third Castle (" Seeschloß Monrepos") which lies at a small Lake ("Monrepos").
They healthy and havea good time. :D
