I belong to the school of thought that believes it is not a must to consummate your marriage on the night of the wedding. In our own case, after the wedding, I told my wife that we are not married for one night, by the grace of God, we would have each other till death do us part. I said to her point blank that there was no need to disturb ourselves since we were both tired from the activities of the day. But I made sure we fulfill the part of "....they were both naked and were not ashamed" 😜. And from the following day till now, The Lord has been good and He will forever remain good 🥰.

Thanks to Mama Bira, my caterer, she brought food to me and my groomsmen in the Morning and I was trying not to eat. Thank God she insisted and at the end of the super busy day, I was grateful she brought that food. 🤣

Challenge is guys are hyping groom up and he's too excited to remember food till after reception. If Bride has good friends or ladies get hungry, they will definitely sort her out... Especially after ceremony when they know make-up pics are on-point. I digress!!!! Bottom line is this food matter is also extremely common in countless cultures outside Nigeria. For some of the weddings I attend, the wedding couple is served their food before and are allowed to eat whilst guests go for their food.

as in the wedding night is over rated i was exhausted on my wedding night no power was even gisting with my frds when hubby came and say its time to go i completely forgot there is wedding night thing that day o my frds were just laughing at me. i slept off immediately i got to the room woke up late at the middle the day abeg no pressure on the wedding night pls.

Everything here is about me , I didn't eat oo , I no drink sef plus my mum insisted I go home n nt hotel after d party 🤦. I slept on a single couch all nyt 😭. My wife fwends n my family still come my own house 🤦
Seriously it's overrated, for 3 good days I and hubby didn't do anything, we slept allllll day. And in my mind I was wondering if my hubby was okay, since he was not making any attempt, I had to ask and he said he's tired, we need to rest.

We didn't eat nor consummate our wedding dat night . Hunger almost finished ur .My husband basically had to go out that night looking for wat we should eat. It was to late and he saw nothing. Some cake was left during the reception and that's wat we feed on . We slept all night nothing happened . No one Disturbed the other

Me too I didn’t eat o, the thing pain me gan ni. Especially when my husbands friends and my friends were like the cook were very good they enjoyed all the food they eat. And yes that day was so stressful, we just slept off that night
