Welcome to our Central Cee LA Leakers Freestyle Reaction!!! This is our latest video reaction from our new music reaction channel Beer’s & Bars. Here we listen, react, and breakdown bars while enjoying some of our favorite beers. Today we covered another fiery session from LA Leakers and this time we didn’t have to travel across the pond because Central Cee came to the US as he made a pit stop at LA Leakers!! This was unique how Central Cee was giving the US the UK Slang 101 period of instruction and it was done in such a brilliant way!! What a great introduction!! Welcome to the US Central Cee!! Wagwan - a Jamaican word brought to the UK by the wind rush generation. Translates directly to what’s going on? Or what’s happening
Thank you! 😂🤣
Explained by a white boy😅😅😅
Ends is also a Jamaican word slang
I’m a white guy who got got brought up with my man and used to say wagwaan
Most of Cents UK slang originates from Jamaica.
“How can I be homophobic my bitch is gay”, he’s too funny for that
UK Modern Slang is very Jamaican influenced in thanks partly to the windrush generation and also the rise of the yardies.
and West African slang. just like nyansh and also South Asian
It's not UK slang, its just black people in London
@@DKray7 Its one of many UK slang forms - but its by far the most popular in todays climate, and Its definitely not limited to just the Black Community or London.
@@soccxcross I would say it's mostly London though. I'm from West Yorkshire and one of the only people who uses these terms since I'm half Caribbean so grew up hearing them, and I haven't heard anyone else in my area (other than my family) say wagwan or boy dem or anything, and people think I'm trying to be a Londoner when I use the terms.
@@cheman579 Hmm I'd say on a wider scale, you'll find it heavy in Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool etc. too.
Central Cee has some great tracks and freestyles
Central Cee ft Fredo - stay lizzy meant to be
Central - Cold Shoulder
Central - Daily Duppy
A couple of my personal favourites
The songs not called stay lizzy
@@LK-px6eo it’s not called stay lizzy it’s called “meant to be”
@@bigboyskrapz that’s what I said
@@LK-px6eo yh ik, it wasn’t a reply to you, I think I clicked on yours by accident
25 in the boxes on those!!
i like how central cee is pushing into the american scene, i’ve always thought it’s something dave should’ve done as if one of them blows up it puts UK artists on the map for US rap fans and it’ll blow up the UK scene even more
DAVE N DIZZYYY RASCAL WERE THE 1STTT TO DO LA LEAKERS FAM AND DAVE DUN THE OVA BIGGERRR 1 MUCH BIGGER SHOW 5 FINGERS OF DEATH SWAY I TINK LOOK IT UPP FAM ALL DIFFRENT BEATS QWICKLY DAVE DUN THAT 3 OR 4 YEARZ AGO CHECK IT OUT FAM U LAZY BLOOD..
How is it possible when the US is so adrift from our slang? Multiple US TH-camrs have to ask to explain.
In the UK they don’t even get radio time on mainstream so how they gonna hit US
@@lk99400 firstly radio isn’t that important, no one who listens to rap actually uses the radio for it, then in terms of the slang thing there’s definitely songs that don’t require UK rappers to use heavy slang they could make it US friends if ygm like cench does, then also rap isn’t all about lyrics nowadays im a big playboi carti fan but not for what he says it’s more for how he says it
@@timmy5876 I never mentioned radio bro.. UK rappers have never really got air time until the past 10 years where mainstream radios are now making side channels that prioritise that kinda genre. Dave is lyrically the best we have and has worked with Jack Harlow, Drake etc so he’s deffo out there.. the thing with UK rappers is they won’t switch up the style or genre just to get recognition or respect elsewhere cos they’re true to their roots.
@@lk99400 ye igy, dave’s biggest issue is that he’s heavily bar reliant and when americans don’t get the bars or can’t understand him it doesn’t sound as good, tbf he’s one of the few lyrical rappers i like, in general i go for more sound and don’t care for the lyrics. Tbf im surprised artists like DBE or deno haven’t blown up more in the US cus they sing rap which is popular in the US but then again so man do it now it’s hard to be the standout one
Gaff means house. Don’t know if anyone else said it first
Central cee - let go
Central cee - one up
Central cee - cold shoulder
Central cee - loading ( track that blew him up)
Central cee - day in the life
Central cee - 6 for 6
Central cee - khabib
Central cee - commitment issues
Central cee - ruby
Central cee ft Fredo - meant to be
Blanco X Central cee - the great escape
Central cee - daily duppy
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
“it’s only an hour away that’s why i spend time in paris” i’m glad he said this cus a lot of US people see UK people going to paris or spain or something and think of it like they were going, because obviously it’s a long flight from the US to europe but it’s like a couple hours away from the UK so he’s basically saying it’s not that far away that’s why i’m there a lot
His best songs cold shoulder , khabib , retail therapy & polemique with a French rapper all a must ! Oh and his daily duppy
He has two good songs and these ones aren’t it
@@Tom-qb1rj name them
Added!!!
@@Aspectzify Loading, 6 for 6, doja also overseas but he was featuring in that one so not his song but still fire
How have you never heard wagwan. It's the most stereotypical Jamaican saying ever. Btw they call it UK Slang. But it's really mostly Caribbean slang. ALOT of UK especially Londoners are just 1st, 2nd, 3rd generation Caribbean people. Windrush babies. Our Caribbean culture is what has influenced their slang.
Uk slangs and Jamaican slangs is pretty much the same thing
He literally said what gaff means guys..🤦😏🤣
React to Lil Wayne ft Kendrick Lamar - Mona Lisa
Tech N9ne ft Lil Wayne - Too Good
Lil Wayne ft Drake - B.B. King Freestyle
“Live yours ain’t a gang can’t join it”
Goes under the radar but explains U.K. gang culture then.
U.K. is all about postcodes, your gang is the people you live around and if you don’t live there you ain’t from there…
If you’re in london you cant walk through the opps ends (hood)
He should definitely check out top boy that show was gassss
Wagwan = what’s going on?
From Jamaican Patois
Gaff is your house
Hes been really popular in the UK for a while now but Doja was his breakout song that made it to the US in a sense but a lot of his songs are pretty good
Gaff = house
Gaff = house
Wagwan is what's going on or what's up.
in the UK our slang is heavily influenced by Jamaican patois, West African/pidgin English and South Asian slang or colloquialism because most of us POCs are first generation or second generation immigrants.
Dunno bout the south Asian ting......
Wagwan is patois (patwah) for what’s going on. What a gwarn? Shortened to wagwan. Comes from Jamaican slang.
My gaff - my house
Gaff is your house
wagwan is whats up
Gaf means house
you said youre watching top boy, i hope youre watching Top Boy: Summerhouse first😭 if youre not you should go back, that’s basically the original series and the new one is s3 and s4

Independence is the key so many artists been robbed blind through labels it’s unreal

When you watch doja, you will understand what was blanked out in the lyrics for US tv
Gaff means house
Gaff is your yard

Sorry if u reacted to it I have literally just subbed
Not a problem at all, welcome to the Buzz Fam ✌️🍻
Wagwan is derived from jamaican its basically "whats goin on" shortened
He's literally telling you the translation in the song. No need to pause after very bar 😅
gaff = house
Gaff = house
gaff is like a home or place where you hang out! Eg: get the fuck out of my gaff means get the fuck out of my house!
gaff=house
Gaff=house
Yeah Doja is great but he has more good tracks check him out fr
Nah we don’t have chick filet but we do have popeyes now
You guys gotta react to Two Face MAD ABOUT BARS
You guys are really helping independent artists too man
Pls react to italian rap, Madreperla by Gue can be a starting point
a couple of the slang words are a thing but aren’t used often, u can tell he’s tried to change a few to rhyme
Gaff has multiple uses but mainly house, but you would call a place a gaff
How much top boy have you watched now? Are you loving it?
About to start the last season and yes it's great. Reminds me of the TV show the Wire (basically the American version of Top Boy)
@@BeersBars yeah I loved the wire as well. Did you ever watch the corner? It was before the wire and kind of a prequel from the early 2000 that’s was so good as well

Was hoping you two wouldn't get into this generic bs with central cee..he's not even liked that much in the UK 😏 missing all the good artists for this chump lol
