- This is my favourite type of road, always interesting to drive.
Audio is a little bit messed up because I tried different settings and forgot it in auto mode.
Total weight of the truck is 45 tons.

We use horns only if someone does something stupid. I have seen the videos of Indian traffic and everyone is just constantly honking. I would go crazy about this noise there is. :)

Nice surprise to see the road I drive every day. It looks like this was filmed mid day today. It looks like it's not your first time on this road too. If again, please record the first part of the road as well? Maybe 5min earlier going the same way.
It was actually my first time on this road and yes it was filmed around 15 today. That´s why I started filming from there because the road looked nice earlier.

How did you mount the camera? I am also an truck driver and i will buy GoPro to have with me. My standard vlog setup is to big, it’s an Canon EOS 700D with external mic and gorillapod. I’m on the roads from sunday to fridays, and i will vlog that. I think people will like it. And before i have just vlog normal life, when i’m home etc.

I bought the cheap one, gopro hero 2018. So not 4k, but 1440. It´s enough for me. It´s almost like gopro hero 5. I most edit the videos on my iphone because i will be out on the roads between sundays and fridays.

There is no place to attach the camera closer, only way is to zoom in but then there will be quality loss. But I will think something to make it better. Suggestions are always welcome! ;)

Why do you use manual mode instead of automatic? As far as i know Scania Automatic gearbox is very smart at changing gear
I don't like how opticruise changes gears at all, that's why I do it myself. Done this for more than 4 years now and I'm used to it, I want to have all the control over the truck. :)

Kristo Boginski Have you tried putting opticruise inte power mode? From you gear selections I can hear that you like higher rpms than what otherwise should be normal. Selecting lower gears of course gives you worse fuel economy, but your V8 will sound better 😀 very nice video though👍
There is no difference between my gear selection and auto power mode. Few days ago I drove together with my friend and we compared it during 900km as he was driving power mode and I was manual. Gears we used were exactly the same. Fuel economy was identical. We had exactly the same load. AP held even higher revs than I did. I tried to drive AP for 10km maybe and I just can’t. Never know when the gear change will happen and don’t have that full control over the truck.
Håkan Nilsson Where exactly is there high rpms, I watched the whole video myself and couldn’t find a spot where I should drive with lower gear or the rpms are too high. 90% of the time rpms are between 1250-1500, going to 1700-1800 when taking off but thats how you accelerate. Are you truckdriver yourself? Yesterday I tried AE mode and it accelerated from 1000-1300rpms and gained speed very slowly, doesn’t seem to me very economical as it takes so much longer to reach 80 km/h, short and fast acceleration is more economical than slow and long acceleration, thats why 730 is more economical on such road than 520 if u know what I mean. Even AE went to 1700rpms sometimes on uphill but most of the time was on 1000-1200 and you could feel it how the truck loses speed very fast and not using it’s power at all. This new engine doesn’t sound as good as the older ones anyway and when I’m driving, only thing that matters for me is that I could climb as fast as possible. We don’t have any restrictions from company how economically we have to drive but ofcourse we don’t waste fuel pointlessly. No offence but I’ve got a few comments about my gear changes that people say I rev too high, now I got a new ideas for my future videos to show how AE, A, AP revs and changes gears and what the fuel consumption and time consumption difference will be. I try to pick a route that I drive the most.
