I've been using ko2 with a midi to cv converter to sequence my eurorack which is dope and I don't know why more people aren't talking about how powerful ko2 is as a sequencer for external gear. The time based punch in FX work over midi which can get super crazy
What? So if you hit one of the punch in fx on a midi sequence, it actually changes the midi notes being sent in such a way that it sounds similar to the fx?
@@Dekkie61 Yeah, the out going midi responds in the same way it would for internal stuff. I also run the audio back into KO2 for the full effect - but it's especially cool with the time based FX that the outgoing midi notes slow or chop along with the internal sounds with the FX
Man, it sounds awesome (and that beat is stellar). Pity I mostly make ambient-ish. If it can be persuaded to sound like a broken CR-78 drowning in a bath then I’m in!
I'm waiting for the Tonic 2 actually, but I'm slowly growing towards this thing. I'd like an extra drummachine besides the digitakt (1). Probably better to keep on hoping for a Tonic 2, but damn you make this thing look nice...
It's a fantastic little sampler. I'd like to get at the firmware, but it does what it does and I like it. I have much more expensive gear (akai .. ) that is nowhere near as fun to use.
can it do live fx on the stereo ins (i.e. work as an fx pedal)? also, viewed as a rhythm composer, maybe it lacks polyrhythms (more of just a pad hitter)?

I also have the RD-8 and the drumbrute impact. Both fantastic but a bit dry!

For ambient examples of the ep-133, I’d recommend looking at Bloom Music’s stuff. He does a great job showing off the K.O. II’s ambient side.
It's been interesting to see how you've grown into the KO2 over the last 6 months or so in your videos. For the price, it is almost a no brainer.

It has a sync in and out so you can just put a gate into the input. Personally I don’t use the sync and just hit play in time.

Haha! The 808 is such a classic sound ~ a must have for any electronic artist. But to use it in every track is madness 🤪

Unfortunately not ~ that would be amazing. I don’t think it can do polyrhythms either ~ hopefully in a firmware update.
