I have a Hayate otsu xsoft and love it. I’ve been wanting to try a zero but unsure if it’ll be too slow for me. Also assuming you put no downward pressure on the mouse would the xsoft be faster than soft and mid? I play r6 with 33cm/360 hipfire
I would recommend the soft, it’s not actually that slow, it’s still a balanced pad. It’s like the definition of medium. The Otsu is a degree faster, not a speed pad, but the surface type is the main difference. The zero collects hairs like crazy but you’re less likely to stick to it if you get warm.
@@RestlessGeckoReviews really appreciate the insight! Everything I’ve found before this just said that the zero was slower and never said by how much, I’ll definitely give it a shot. And I wear a sleeve anyway so hopefully sticking won’t be much of an issue
It’ll be entirely usable for you and it’s not going to mess with your micro corrections by being boggy or muddy. It’s the best bang average mousepad for your money in terms of speed and control.
Is it just me or is the artisan zero thicker than the hayate otsu? I have both in soft and my zero seems to be quite a bit thicker might be just me tho idk 😅
Interesting that you mention that the hien has a more consistent x & y than the Otsu. I thought it was supposed to be the other way around
Have you tried any artisan mids?

I still prefer Saturn Pro Soft and Type 99 Soft better.
Definitely putting an order in for the Type 99 when they’re back in!
@@RestlessGeckoReviews They're back in stock rn bro!
I checked before and the XXL Matcha and Grey were out. I’ll have another gander!
i live in uk as well, do u have to pay any tax after u got those pads?
No, anything under £170 and you’re okay. I had to pay it when I bought my wooting but these will definitely come under £170 aha.
cool ass tattoos bro
Cheers man!

Yeah it does tbf, just felt them now. The zero has a more spongy quality to it. Bounces back easier as well!
Haha yea i even put them side by side swear the zero is like 0.5mm thicker
Soft is definitely a relative term aha
Is the zero 2024 version different from older ones?
Not as far as I’m aware! The dai dai orange colour-way supposedly picks up less dust and hair though but I think that’s nonsense.
Have you tried any artisan mids?
I haven’t as of yet, I’ll order a mid when the type 99 and key 83 goes back into stock.
I have a Hayate Otsu mid and I love it.
@@BrothersByBud I was thinking about buying this I’ve only ever used soft and xsoft, what is stopping power like?
Wrong. Type 99 is the best
I’ll find that out when they get them back in stock
@@RestlessGeckoReviewsin stock right now
