I was honestly half expecting someone to take a slice before she put the candles on. For authenticity 😂
I would have laughed so hard!!!
If TS4 taught me anything, it's impossible to add candles to a cake if someone's already taken a slice.

For anyone trying to make red- use a drop of black food coloring for every two drops of red. That’ll make it so it’s red, not pink
Thanks for the tip! I’ve struggled with making it look red enough a few times.
And also, use gel food coloring- they also make a flavorless red.
Or you can forego the black, stick the red buttercream in the microwave for 5 to 10 seconds to make the color more vibrant. Mix it so the color is properly mixed. Let it cool and whip it. This works for all colors you want to make more vibrant.

@@LizLuvsCupcakesit's supposed to melt. That's why you're supposed to let it cool and whip it afterwards to make it fluffy again.

Kelsey asked her Alexa about eating egg shells and my Alexa answered the COMPLETE OPPOSITE of what hers said 😂😂😂😂😂
eggshells are digestible and have a lot of calcium and other nutrients... the issue is the microbes that raw eggs carry, so eating uncooked/unwashed egg shells is probably no advisable

@@SpoonHurler Exactly. The issue isn't the eggshells, it's what's usually ON the eggshells, since the eggs aren't washed before being packed and shipped, so they have whatever they touched at the farm still on them, including potentially chicken poop.

I found out about you through the 100 baby challenge I always loved playing the Sims my older cousin got me into playing the Sims I got addicted to playing it, She was playing it before the Sims 3 first came out and played the Sims 2 I actually liked the cars the most expensive car in the Sims 2 but it took forever to do some stuff that only takes a few minutes in the Sims 3. omg. I've been sick all weekend (at the end of my spring break when I should have been having fun or studying), and this just cheered me up so much. This was hilarious and amazing! I love the chaotic baking. You did 10x better than me whenever I bake anything and I love how she matched her sim. Petition for them to make a Sims baking challenge tv series with Kelsey being a first-season competitor and then a judge.

I'm not going to lie, I want to bake with Kelsey! She has so much fun with these videos, and isn't afraid to get messy or make mistakes . I was totally impressed how well this turned out, as I will forever be in awe of just how wrong the giant krispie treat went lol
Also I am seriously wondering how long it took to get that food colouring off her hands because all I could think was "oh no Kelsey no!!" I know I've had to go to work with unique skin colouring before due to easter egg dying, or play doh making for my nieces and nephew

Oh so cute!! A drop of blue or green coloring can make a deeper red for your ketchup - and if you have an immersion blender, mixing with that can make colors pop too!

For anyone that is going to try baking cake and want a solid red buttercream without adding too much food coloring, take ur buttercream and add two drops of the food coloring, mix mix mix, pop it in the microwave for a little bit until it is runny, to make go back to its original consistency pop it in the refrigerator for a little bit, and then mix it again until it is creamy.
Same as a child my father wasn’t really fathering so I was starving and I just ate whole tubs of butter especially the brown sugar cinnamon butter

Frosting tip: if you use an gel frosting, use an immersion blender. It helps break the gel residue so it mixes with the oil of the frosting.

Fun fact I've learned - when instant cake mixes first came out, they only required water to be added, but they didn't sell. People didn't trust them to be any good. The solution was to change the mix so that it required water AND eggs - and the result was successful, instant cake mixes were a success!

if you want to get the shell out after you mix it let it sit for a while and then when you pour it on the cake pan it should be stuck to the bottom of the bowl. I'm good at getting eggshells out but it's only because I'm good at getting them in :D also I think you can use a butter knife to check if cake done baking

I got The Unofficial Sims Cookbook, and it makes me so happy. I haven't actually made anything in it yet, but I'm just a tiny bit sad that there's not a recipe for Garden Salad. After a long day of making my sims eat Garden Salads, I want one too!

I found you through the 100 baby challenge... I also met someone else who watched that series. I'm a cashier in a garden center. A customer was wearing a "Not Chelsea" t shirt.
Technically Bob Blumer did this many years ago on food network. He made a hamburger cake and a shepherd's pie cake for a children's birthday party. The hamburger was the real cake and the shepherd's pie was done like a sheet cake.
He make a raspberry sauce as ketchup, I can't remember what he did as the mustard, but he made yellow and green jello that was mashed up as the relish and sliced almonds as the sesame seeds.
