the painful beauty of insights about loving someone and not being with them anymore on "stranger in the alps" really made my november and december days and night less lonely and more meaningful. i discovered phoebe towards the end of the year and everything changed for me. i love music that, yes, sounds sad and has that effect on me, but is yet so full of serene love and a whole spectrum of just emotions of all kinds flooding in that makes me think "while things might be bad i love shivering with emotions and life is beautiful" haha, sounds cheesy, but that is what phoebe's music did for me. for many people i think. i wish her all the best, she is a few years older than me and im so happy for her going big. and a quick note on this channel: i love it so so much! the questions, how albums they mention are edited to show on the screen (yeah i know thats not a big deal ahaha but so many interviewers don't "highlight" the things people say and reference to) and the choices that are made - both popular and well established musicians and some that are on the rise but need shout outs and more attention! Phoebe was performing at The Cobalt that night, which has a very small backstage without much sonic separation from the stage. We opted to film beside the venue so that we could actually hear her talking rather than the opening band doing their soundcheck. The darkness is just due to the hour we filmed at.
